What do you think?

I tried it on, and there's no way to say this without sounding totally obnoxious, but it looks soooooooooooo much better on me than the model, so these pics don't even do it justice (sorry, no pics, TWC was on us like a hawk!)

Do you girls think I should go white or ivory? Generally speaking, white looks better on me, because I have super dark hair and a medium fair comlexion. Ivory can sometimes wash me out. BUT, the dress that I tried on was in Ivory (light ivory, not yellowy), and it looked really nice, and I'm afraid the crystals against white will be too bling-y. The crystals against the ivory were really classy, looked like diamonds without being tacky. I'm too visual a person to order the dress sight unseen in white, and at least with ivory I know what I'm getting. AHHH!

dress is beautiful. And i think you should pick the color you tried on. Like you i can't envision the dress in another color. I also got my dress in ivory because that was the color of the sample.

I think it's beautiful but I couldnt tell you how to decide between white and ivory. Why dont you try it on somewhere else that has the white?

very pretty dress. I would see if another store has it in white. I know what you mean about the white vs ivory. I wound up picking white b.c that is the color I tried on. I also tried on champagne and you do see the work more in the darker color.

I'm at a loss, I've been calling around, and it seems that no other stores even have this dress in any color. The stores say they can order it in, but I'm assuming there would be a fee to order a sample, or it would have to be ordered for purchase only.

Ugh. I think I'm just going to go back and try to see if there's another white Jasmine I can try on just to get an idea of the color. It figures I'd pick the most elusive dress!

Where else did you see it? I tried it on at the Wedding Center in Commack but I refuse to buy it from them...they were HORRIBLE to deal with.

That's the problem...that's the ONLY place I saw it. I'm on the fence...I've heard dicey things about it there, but I had a good session, the woman I worked with was very nice, so I wouldn't be totally opposed to buying it there.

So far Bridal Suites of Centereach and Bay Shore don't have a sample. Those were the only Jasmine Bridal retailers I called though so far.
