I think I picked out my dress...

What do you think?

I tried it on, and there's no way to say this without sounding totally obnoxious, but it looks soooooooooooo much better on me than the model, so these pics don't even do it justice (sorry, no pics, TWC was on us like a hawk!)

Do you girls think I should go white or ivory? Generally speaking, white looks better on me, because I have super dark hair and a medium fair comlexion. Ivory can sometimes wash me out. BUT, the dress that I tried on was in Ivory (light ivory, not yellowy), and it looked really nice, and I'm afraid the crystals against white will be too bling-y. The crystals against the ivory were really classy, looked like diamonds without being tacky. I'm too visual a person to order the dress sight unseen in white, and at least with ivory I know what I'm getting. AHHH!

It is a beautiful gown!!! If it looks even better on you than I would go for it...I would get it in the ivory- White weddings gowns tend to be really bright white. You could ask the bridal shop if they have a swatch of the white fabric so you can get an idea of the color if you are having doubts. Another option is to see if you can find a gown by the same designer in the white just to get an idea of the color.

I think you should go with the color you tried on b/c you know how it will look in its true form.

This gown is amazing! and I'm sure you do look a lot better in it! We can't wait for pics!

I'm doing my dress in ivory. I liked the way the crystals looked on it.

Can't wait to see pics of you in that dress! You have to post them!

I think the white would look even better based on how you described your coloring. Could you call to other stores to see if they have the dress in white so you can see it?
