I think I'm going to CRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (kinda long)

Okay, kind of a long story but I'll make it short. My mom found a dress that she loves at Bridal Reflections in Carle Place. The only problem was at the time when she was about to order the dress she was undecided on the color (she knew she wanted brown but the designer makes two different browns but the swatch was too small for her to determine) so, Bridal Reflections ordered a larger swatch for her which she had to pay for because she wanted some of the beading on it.

The swatch came in but was in BURGUNDY!! So my mom told them she would like them to send it back and get the two brown colored swatches. We just got a call saying the swatches will be here tomorrow...My wedding is in three months and the dress hasn't been ordered yet because she still doesn't know which color...Bridal Reflections has promised my mother over and over again that the dress will be in on time because it takes 10 weeks for the dress to come in, my wedding is in 13 weeks which is cutting it close!!!!!

I don't know which do to first, CRY or THROW UP!!!!!

I sure do hope so, my mom is BEYOND nervous...I feel SO bad!! I don't want to show her I'm just as nervous meanwhile I'm worse!

I'm in the same boat!! My mom's dress is scheduled to come in September 27th, and my wedding is October 22nd.
Dont worry, I'm sure the bridal store where she's ordering from will promise to have it in on time!!

Don't worry, I was also told it would take 12 weeks for the dress. It was here in 3.

Don't worry! They could always rush it, if needed. But you're OK timewise. I'm upset that they ordered the wrong sample (and made mom pay! ) but it'll be fine!

Don't worry... Of course they are giving you the maximum time it will take to come in... All the dresses that were ordered for my wedding... BM, mine, FMIL, Mom's.... They all ended up coming in before I had expected them to. So you may be suprised... I cut it close with a few of mine as well, when I ordered them.

Please do not worry. My gown which originally came in a month late, was cut improperly, and they had a new top part of my dress in 3 days. I did not have to pay rush fees or anything as it was the designer's fault. It will be ok - but it prob is a good idea to order something soon.

Please dont stress over it.

My mom ordered her dress about 2 1/2 months before my wedding date and it was plenty of time.....and my futre MIL.....well, she hasnt even started to look. She is always last-minute Charlie so we'll see when she goes....I told her to make sure she gives herself some time for alterations...

yep... she seems to think there is all the time in the world. I have given up on asking when she’s going to look. I’ve offered to go with her many times.

My mom is a classic procrastinator.

My FMIL ordered her dress in May/June (can't remember anymore) and when it came in a few weeks ago they said that they had to send it back because there was a pull in the material. Well, sure enough they got another dress very quickly and she has already had a fitting. She ordered from Bridal Reflections in Massapequa. So, hopefully there won't be any problems getting the dress quickly for your mom.

What is it with mothers? My wedding is in less than 7 weeks and my mother 'can't find anything she wants to wear'....Whenever I asked her if she was shopping she told me she was too busy (playing golf and hanging out) so I spent the last three days running everywhere with her and still she isn't happy with what she has tried on. At this point I really don't care what she wears.
