I think I'm going to go to my cocktail hour!!!!

After much thought - I think it'd be wise to.
We're still going to have our big entrance as husband & wife. However, from past brides, I hear getting the welcomes out of the way early will leave you more time to party and enjoy yourself & dance!! (which is what I really want to do).

If you think about it - it takes a long time to make it to every table. And then at the end of the night you're saying goodbye to everyone.

It just makes sense to me to go to cocktail hour-
what are do you think?

I'm doing the same exact thing!! We already told our photographer we want to be done with photos by the time it starts.

yup we're doing cocktail. Think my freddy bear is gonna miss out on some good food, especially when he paid for it? Not a chance!
We still will make our amazing entrance into the reception room.

youre paying for it and your wedding is going to FLY by! Grab every second you can!

I tried to but my photographer pulled us out for MORE pictures ugh...

We are definitely going to our cocktail hour! We are taking our pics at 4pm and our ceremony isn't until 6pm so I am sure that is enough time to get all the pics we need.

I think it'll be fun to be at the cocktail hour and it'll be great to touch base with people at that point instead of having to do it all during the reception.

my pics started at 9. my wedding started at 11:30. There was not enough pics I guess b/c we were pulled from CH too

I'm going to mine without a doubt....I want to be able to get the hello's out of the way so I can enjoy the reception....and I want to taste all the yummy food!

I went to half of mine and then had the big entrance. it was great. I got to sit and chat with my friends.. Then I talked to the old people later..

We are too. I dont think you are gonna regret it for a second.....and if you want a few moments to yourself, you can always escape to the bridal suite....so you will have the best of both worlds........

I'd like to go to at least half of ours... The reason for half is cuz I wantt to be able to eat something and I'm sure once we get down into the room we are going to get bombarded. I figured if we are done with most pix by then we can eat some stuff in the bridal suite and then head to the CH to see everyene (and attempt to get some food!)

We're doing it...I don't see the purpose of sitting in the bridal suite...I want to go out and enjoy the party...mingle...and see how things look, etc.

The church is at 3 and the CH starts at 6, so we have plenty of time for photos. We're also having a 1.5 hour CH, so we'll definitely make some, if not all, of it
