I think Im LOOSING IT

Sorry, but I need to vent to someone.
Ever since we got this new puppy, hubby and i FIGHT all the time
I know it was both our decisons to get him, but I just cant take it anymore. He goes after my cat, and the cat knicked hoim on the nose a few times. The dog always goes after him, so today Jay took the cat by the neck and yelled at him
Im so streesed at work, my kids are being so disrespectful, and does NOT stop talking in class, and for all special Ed. teachers, they know this year is horrible and stressful for us, doing IEP's on the computer, when the system is always down, and annual reviews.
Im sorry for venting, but now I get worried, because my parents and other sister are going to Florida to visit my other sister (Jay cant come ) because of his business,a nd I worry what he will do to the cat.
Im 5 days late for my period, and took a HPT and a BFN, and I dont feel like Im getting AF anytime soon

I'm so sorry that you are going through this!

The puppy will learn...eventually not to bug the cat too much. It might take another swat on the snout to do it. Have you tried to correct the puppy from going after the cat?

I'm so sorry you're having a tough time. Maybe you should consult with a trainer about the dog/cat problem. One of them might be trying to establish dominance but I've never combined dogs and cats so I'm not sure. I know dogs often do that, though.

I'm sure Jay won't hurt your kitty. They just like to be rougher than we do. It probably looks a lot worse than it is. Have a talk with him when you're both calm and tell him that it bothers you when he gets rough with kitty. Things will get better soon.

I'm so sorry Diane, it seems like you have alot on your plate right now. Maybe you could leave the cat with a friend while you're gone, so you know that everyone is safe? Pet adjustments take awhile. I'm not sure how long you have had the puppy, but give it some time. I'm sure it will all work out. Please try and enjoy your vacation.

awww. so sorry your having all this happen at once...I would seriously ( no fighting) talk to him about the cat issue, make him understand how you feel, and hope you get AF soon, that may be due to stress!!!

there is definitely an adjustment for the cat and dog...is there a safe place the cat can go? under the bed? in a closet?

we made a spare closet into a haven for the cat so that the dog couls leave her alone...she swatted enough times thought that he is still scared of her almost 2 years later...

dogs are tough...they can take the scratches...

you can take the cat to FL with you?
