I think its final

WE ARE HAVING A DESTINATION WEDDING !!!!!

I' ve been doing alot of research these past few weeks ... Fh seems to be really excited and the places are beautiful !!!!

I am mainly looking at the carribean .... and im focusing on t he Us virgin Islands ... so if ppl dont have their passports they dont have to pay for that too

Oooh thats so exciting! I wish we could have a destination wedding but our families are way to big to drag everyone to another country!!

Girl .... my list has grown up 2 185 ppl and thats not including plus 1 .... for ppl ... this was on of the reasons why we decided to finalize the DW ii dont want to pay for all these ppl ... that on the day to day basis arent there for me

( fh has 5 uncles and they each have 5 kids and wives )and i have only met one of the wives and lets just say she wasnt really nice ...

I only need ppl that are happy for me and that agree with my interracial marriage lol ....

thats so great, good for you! sounds like it is going to be a beautiful wedding. Are you going to get married on the beach? another place you don't need passports is puerto rico, if you were looking into that whole aspect of it..

otherwise, i have been to aruba and i can honestly say it was sooo beautiful there... but then again im sure every one of the islands in the carribean is!!

thats a great reason to do a destination wedding, that only the people that you want to be there will be there, good for you

I am puerto rican and i loveeee it there but Fh wants to get married in israel and i want to get married there so we decided not to do either one of the places .... do u need a passport for aruba ... i was thinking about that too

i believe you do need a passport for aruba which i guess rules that one out if you are sticking to the passport-free islands... i agree PR would be soo nice but i am sure US Virgin Islands is great too! I want to go to St. Thomas one day (I heard the shopping is great there!)

wow congrats. you're going to have a whole diff experience planning because its a destination...you're def gonna have to share your stories!
how about st. john? its a short ferry ride from st thomas and it has one of the top 10 beaches

Someone i work with had a destination wedding, definitely cut down on the number of guests. She had i'd say at most about 50 people at her wedding. not that it should matter, but be prepared to get smaller (and some times not at all) gifts from people. i only bring this up because i know its something she did not take into consideration and then got very upset about it.

Oh yeah i am totally ready ... im not gettin married to recieve gifts ... so i dont really care for it and i dont expect anything especially since they are paying their own way ,....

Just thought of something, in 2009 arent they changing the passport regulation, i think you need a passport to travel across the US, so if thats the case, you don't have to limit your island that you pick.
