I think my mom is Satan

I feel so childish saying this......but I really can't stand my mother! I honestly feel like she doesn't want me to be happy. We had a big fight tonight. I feel like she totally doesn't have faith in any of my decisions and she thinks I don't know what I'm doing.

I sawry!!!!!!!!!!!!!! let me tell you that my mom is trying ot pick everything for me too, she wants Villa Lombardis, a gourgeous place but I'm not sure, and my BM colors, she has always said black is so elegant and then I say I want it and my sister says 'oh no' and now my mom is taking her side saying I shouldn't use it.

I could stand it if it were maybe just the wedding but it's life in general!
Unfortunately, I still live with my parents. I am 23 and graduated college in May. I am still living at home b/c I am paying for grad school and trying to save money for the wedding.
She makes it seem that FH and I will never make it on our own! The truth is, I don't think she can handle the fact of one of her children being totally independent from her!

This will pass. Just try your best to be firm about what you want. Be firm but not nasty. Before you know it, this will pass.

It will pass just try and yes everyone to death. That is what I do and then I do whatever I wanted to in the first place. I am paying for my wedding completely and am doing whatevery I want. Sometimes weddings bring out the best and WORST in people. Hang in there.

LovelyL how could your Mom be Satan when mine holds the title?? I can totally understand, it seems my mom makes a hobby out of putting her kids down. Thank God I only have 2 more days!!

Girl I KNOW how you feel!!!!! I hope it gets better for you My mom must be a spawn of satan!! Everything that I have an idea on she has a negative comment or makes a mean face about it. All I can tell you is don't worry it'll be your wedding day really soon.

I know EXACTLY!! what you are feeling - you have to stop letting it bother you - i've been dealing with my mom in this 'Criticizing' stage for two years - and it still bothers me - i know how hard it is.

Hey I can totally relate; my mother always seems to know the worst possible time to push my buttons and just how to push them; then when I snap at her she accuses ME of being nasty! I think the person who says yes them to death then do what you want is right although I was never able to truly master that art myself. I think that when it comes down to it you need to stick to your guns and be firm.

sounds like our mothers are sisters....my mom doesnt like my ideas and wants to impose her own... but then when other people start to see the ideas and say how great it is, then she'll say that it was nice, too little too late
