my sister was telling me all along that my shower will not be until after chrsitmas...and then tonight she called and was talking to my mom and they were being all secretive....hahahaha...they think they can fool me! i guess i should stay away from my registry for now......

Its so funny when the family tries to be secretive and you know what they are talking about. I used to laugh when my FI tried to sneak to the kitchen to talk, thinking I didnt know.

the plot thickens.... when they were talking on the phone and trying to be secretive, my father was in the roomw ith me and i was obviously trying to listen.....and he kept talking over them...making fun of my sister for talking so loud, etc. so that's what started me wondering if maybe it was something i wasn't supposed to hear... then my mother just came upstairs and asked me if i could hear what was being said on the phone earliler...hmmmm her story is that my sister is concerned about my father (he's getting older and going crazy - not in a bad way, just in an obsessive way) and that's what they were talking about! riiiiiiiiiight! of course, i wtill have no idea when it will be.....but at least i know they are working on it!

I don't know how I'm going to be surprised because my sis/MOH is OOT. Every time she comes home I'll think about it, unless she hides somewhere.

I am starting to get suspicious too. My FMIL called me a week or so ago and asked how to spell my middle name, and asked me several times if I was finished with my registries..... not too subtle IMO......

I've been getting nosey too! I was looking on the calendars at my parents' house for any inkling of a hint!!!! TEEHEEE...I feel like a kid at.....

Unfortunately....my shower is not a surprise. I had to pick my own date! I live in NJ and my best friend (whom I wanted to be there, lives in Ohio), so I had to find out when she could come and I have to come from NJ. No surprise....going to be Feb. 21. I'm still excited though.
