I was talking with my FH brother's Fh a couple of weeks ago ...and she told me that I am not invited to their RD! i was like why????? and she said since I am not part of the bridal party I am not invited! hellllllllooooooooooooooo...my FH is the best man!!!!!!!!!!! and what am i supposed to do?? omg i am soo at the point that i cant even take it anymore ...to think that I was considering having her in my wedding out of respect ( of course she wouldnt have the same deceincy for me! ) I always thought that we would be one big happy family ....Guess not!
dont u guys think that is sooo rude?

i was told the proper thing to do for a DH is invite the entire BP w/ dates/spouses, and any kids that are in the BP their parents even if parents are not involved in the BP ,plus immediate family and any out of town family

I always thought RD's were for the groomsmen, bridal party, their spouses, anyone from OOT, and immediate family.... no?

If she wants to think of you guys as 'half' of a couple, she shouldn't be surprised when you give her 'half' of a wedding gift.

she doesnt like me ...she never has ....it doesnt help that we got engaged three weeks after they did ! but they got engaged the day my FH was gonna propose to me! what are we supposed to wait a year! and then we booked our wedding before theirs and they had a fit so we changed it ! i really just cant deal with it anymore .....Meg u want the address

thats the problem ...mine will be in Aruba ...so she will be there with him...how will i manage that???

oh and she told me that Aruba is disgusting ...and that one of her friends left there honeymoon early because it was so horrible ....anndddd that i am ruining her prego plans ...since our wedding is 8 months after theirs she has to wait to get prego since she had to fly to our wedding!

wow she sounds like a real winner kim. I've been to aruba and it is beautiful I'm not sure what this girl's friend was talking about, is it possible she is blind? I would question her vision. Anyway, I agree it is very rude to not be invited to the RD. I was in a similar situation. FH was in a wedding party for one of his friends from college and they had an engagement party but it was just for the bridal party and family and I wasn't invited because I was in the bridal party. I would have thought dates of the bridal party were included too but they weren't. I thought that was rude too, some people just don't think of others feelings when they plan these things.

This happened to someone else I know - her FH was in the bridal party and she wasn't, so they didn't invite her to the RD.

I think that is one of the rudest things people can do. Why would you not invite someone's significant other? I hate when people do stuff like that, it makes me so angry

This happened to me too. FH was in the bridal party and I was actually a friend of the bride and groom. but i wasn't invited to the rd because i wasn't in the bridal party. Meanwhile fh and i were together for 4 years at that point. I wasn't likea random person. whatever, people don't know how to act and i'm sure his parents might have something to say about this.

As for Aruba, it is gorgeous and i'm jelous that i can't have my wedding there
