I thought I was doing ok with not stressing about

the whole money thing, but I just revised our budget and I am very nervous now. FH and I need a lot more money by seven months from now.. I may have to start eating soup every day... which would not be a bad thing I guess.. b/c then I would lose more weight!

I'm in the same boat as you. My FH just got another job... while it's MUCH better careerwise in the long run, we are feeling it in the pocketbook right now. He worked a lot of OT with his old job, and this one has NO OT. So, with the mortgage and all the bills, hardly any $$ is going towards the wedding anymore. . It's tough...

Hey you know whatI was just thinking? I used to know someone that was a recruiter for those Focus group type things, I went to a few a couple of years ago. You go in a mtg room some place and it's the host conducts a survery. I remember getting paid 200 bucks for 2 hours! I lost the contact since then.. but hey I would love to do that sort of thing again right now!

You go in a mtg room some place and it's the host conducts a survery. I remember getting paid 200 bucks for 2 hours! I lost the contact since then.. but hey I would love to do that sort of thing again right now!

hey - when you find the contact - can you pass it on - i wouldnt mind making $200 for 2 hrs!

yea right.. you figure if you do 2 a week that's 400 cash MONEY! extra for the week!

Let me know too! I am freaking out this week, all of a sudden, thought I was fine. I chewed my fiance's ear off last night, the poor thing.

i know how u feel...my fh got a 2nd job & that extra $ i put away in the checking to pay off the vendors a little at a time....we're about 1/2 way there, i feel like we're never going to catch up, we can hardly buy groceries, go out to eat, etc...it stinks....plus we're having to charge alot of things, which isnt helping...PLUS we're trying to buy land & build a house, its just not going to happen right now, i need to win the lottery...i hope the struggle is worth it & everything goes well....good luck! hang in there!

I have a number for anyone who wants it. Actually I have two numbers-though I don't know if they are still active. I haven't done them in a while because I moved out of state. One is a crotchey lady and the other is nice. If the numbers work, In both cases, you will generally get their VM. They'll call you back, profile you and tell you that they will call you when they have something that fits your profile.

I did 2 or 3 focus groups, they didn't call that often but when they did it was cash. Sometime is was $50 and hour, other times $100. It's NOT money you can depend on on a regular basis-they only call every so often and sometimes they want you to do focus groups in the middle of day which I had to decline because that is really hard when you work a regular job too. I only did focus groups in NYC, I don't know if they offer them in LI too.
