So last night FH and I went to an eparty at Smithtown Landing Country Club. The bride has been married before, but this was the grooms first time, so it I guess it was tough for them, as far as deciding what to do with wedding details. So they decided to have a destination wedding on an island somewhere and they wold just have a big eparty to celebrate with family and friends... Or so we thought! Cocktail hour was cocktail hour... nothing unusual about it. She was wearing a white dress, looked beautiful, he was wearing a suit, very handsome. OK, so we walk into the reception room, find our seats. We noticed the menu said for dessert 'wedding cake,' we thought 'Oh, they're probably preprinted.' Then we hear what sounds like 'Here Comes the Bride' and she comes in, with her father at her side - in a wedding dress!!! All jaws dropped, everyone started clapping. They set up an isle runner and bam, right there in front of the DJ booth, they got married!!! Not one of the like 200 guests knew, except for the parents and the maid of honor and 2 best men. How crazy is that!!! I love it!

That's pretty wild. And I like it b/c it was her second time around too. She didn't make the big fuss you would've the first time. Definitely a classy touch!

very cool....we did a surprise as well, we got married in Vegas and had a reception on LI. What not a soul knew is we had a rabbi show up and do a religious ceremony. It was really fun, but a little tricky to keep the secret.
