Hey girls quick question. I had my final appointment and met with Maureen (Natasha is away on vacation unfortunately) While discussing the Maitre D tip, she wrote down 900.00-1200.00 is recommended. Im having 140 guests... I thought the standard was 3-5pp? Im pretty sure Natasha told me that too. Even at the max 5pp, that's still only 700.00....was anyone else quoted this, or plan on tipping this much? I'm all about giving gratuity, but 900-1200 seems pretty steep to me..am I being cheap? Eek.
For my wedding of about 85 people, I left a $200 tip with my maitre'd (and I really thought the man was incredibly helpful!) I don't think more than $5 pp is ever necessary - they appreciate the tips but they are paid a lot more than waiters so $1000 is just absurd.
I was told around $450 for the maitre'd and $75-$100 for the bridal attendant
