I TOLD YOU SOOOOOOOOOOO

I am so mad at my wonderful FH.

Ive been telling him for MONTHSSSSSSS 'Anthony... GO GET YOUR PASSPORT It takes a while for it to come in the mail'

Him: 'okay okay, I will'

Finally today he goes.. He had to put a rush delivery on it $60 extra (Mind you he had 2 1/2 years to do this) ANDDDDDDDDDD
they took his original birth certificate. Why? Who knows?
So.... If they decide to 'forget' to send his birth certificate back, we cant get our marriage licence.

Why cant he just listen to me?
WHY?

We had to send our original birth certificate as well. I had them make a copy of mine. We got our passports back w/everything. No information was missing. Don't worry...it will be fine. For a rush it shouldn't take long at all.

don't worry they will send his birth certificate back, they always do its their policy to take the original,
i have never heard of anyone not getting it back, and you can order a birth certificate online that is acccepted as an original the website is vitalchek.com

I was nervous about the birth certificate too, but they sent it back with no problem. But I know how you feel. Men. You tell them something for their own good (and yours!) and they don't listen. It's only later that they see you were right all along

That made me nervous too. I've heard of other brides that got a certified copy of their birth certificate so they didn't have to wait for it to come back.

The always take the BC. You can get a duplicate copy from the state to get your marriage lic. with if you are worried though.

Why do you need his birth certificate for the marriage license? We just brought our drivers licenses.

I feel your pain i have been waiting since 11:30am this morning for FH .. so we can go do our wedding things... he is in the other room right now .. please talk me down from punching in right in his eye!

I just got my Marriage License today and I used my ID and Passport. So even in the unlikely event they only send thepassport, he will still be able to get the marriage license with you.
