I tried my breastpump...

I only did one side and in about 12-15 minutes I got 3 oz. of milk. I ended up with 3.5 oz in the bottle since I kept going because the milk kept coming out. Is this a good amount?

I got about the same the first time I pumped. The more you pump the more you will get.

Well Im actually pumping around the time he eats. Since he only eats one side per feeding, I always have one that's full.

That is great Melissa. But make sure you double pump when at work.

That sounds great. At my BF class, the lactation consultant told us that if you get even one ounce with the pump that it is a success. Are you pumping and feeding at the same time? I have read/heard that that can increase the amount you get with the pump, though when I think about it, it seems logistically difficult. Probably just as good to do it right after a feed on the other breast.
