I tried on dresses finally!

Well I finally decided to try on the 3 dresses that I liked for so long.. I wasn't really feeling them? Uh oh! I don't know what to do! I guess keep looking..

Did it take everyone a few times b4 finding 'THE ONE' ?

How many places did u go? man o man!
The lady wasn'e to helpful.. she didn't bring in any other dresses either. It was Macy's Bridal..

Also, My FIL, said he was going to pay for our Honeymoone ! Yippee! We are excited about that.

We were going to go to Hawii, but changed our mind becuase they don't have any All Inclusive Packages.. So we are going to go to Jamaica or One of the Virgin Islands , haven't decided yet!

don't worry monique!!! you'll find the one!!! it really is individual...some people know right away, some people need to try on 100's!

I went dress shopping a few times but finally came to the realization that the very first dress I tried on was 'the one'.

I decided to go with a small private bridal shop to receive more one on one personalized service. I feel as though sometimes the larger bridal shops may have too many customers and are unable to provide the form of customer service.

But, stick with it, you'll know when you find 'the dress'!

My parents are covering the airfare for our honeymoon which is a tremendous help as well! Congrats on yours covering the entire vacation!!

I'm going to RK bridal (maybe today). I have been dress shopping at a few places - 4 so far. I thought I found a dress I loved then realized I hated the fabric. I have tried about 15 dresses after picking ones I like from bridal mags and on-line shopping. I know I want strapless and a chapel train so I have worked with those things but not much else.

I found a beautiful dress in VA - Maggie Sottero Chantilly. I love it but I still want to try on at least one more that I saw in the book to make sure.

ETA - one place in NY and 3 in VA.

I know you will never really know how a dress will look until you try it on. Don't worry you will find a fabulous dress! Try RK Bridal.

For our HM we are going to the El Dorado Royale Spa and Resort in Riviera Maya - Mexico.

I completely understand where you're coming from. I keep stressing over the fact that I've tried on some and liked them but am trying to figure out what 'the one' feels like Like they each have something that I like about them and I'm the type of person who just wants to find it already

Well, I went to six places and tried on at least 100 dresses before I decided on one. I just wasn't crazy about anything that I tried on and even the sales woman told me that your wedding dress is not something that you should settle on. I ended up getting the last dress that I tried on. Both my mother and I cried when I put it on, so we kinda knew that was the one. I went back the next day and still loved it, so I ordered it. One problem that I had was that I had this idea in my head of what my dress should look like and that style just didn't look right on my body, you know? Definitely keep looking, you will find 'the one'.

I went to about 8 salons before I found 'the one' and tried on about 10 to 15 at each store.
So that's what like 90 dresses! I actually became really frustrated. I thought I would never find the one. But then I put it on and bam that was it.

Don't get discouraged. You'll find it. Just don’t limit yourself. I wound up with a dress I would have never thought of.
If I had seen it in a mag or online I wouldn’t have thought twice about it.

I'm an oddball because I tried on 6 and chose the 3rd one. But from what I hear, a lot of girls try a lot on before they decide. Don't worry, you'll find one.

BTW- We are going to Sandals for our Honeymoon, unofficially.

Mo - dont worry - you will know THE ONE when you try it on. Dont be afraid to try on many - this is a once in a lifetime experience - ENJOY it !!!

Hmmn, I went to about 12 shops and tried on many many many dresses. Its funny because by the 8th shop I started to like every dress. I think it was because I was tired and I was trying to do it all in one week because my mom was in town. I found my dress at the 2nd to last store that I went too. I knew it was the one because it the only dress that my mom and I both liked on me. I was going for a fitted mermaid look dress but I wanted something with some sort of train (hard to find with the sheath/mermaid styles). To be truthful, I fell in love with the evening gown version of my dress and due to some persuading from my mom and the sales person, I decided to switch over to the wedding version. Sometimes I still wonder if I should have done that because I really liked the way the even dress looked on me, but they both said that the wedding dress looked more elegant because it had more beading on it and a slightly longer train.

So, I found the dress in Chicago and then went to NYC about 2 weeks later to see if I saw it there and to get my sister's opinion too. I found it at Kleinfields and Lestans, but I got it in the store in Chicago.

Oh, FH and I are going to Sandals Jamaica for our Honeymoon. Unfortunately, we are paying for ourselves.
