I don't typically like to complain or rant but I am sad.
First of all the place would not let me take pictures of myself in the sample until I purchased the dress, at the time I understood their point, sort of, but now I am pissed becasue AFTER I ordered it I didn't like the way the medium slip looked in the pictures!! i had a hem to hollow measurement so it came in measured to a medium slip. I also told them to order me the 8 but since my hips were a 10 they insisted and the dress is now too big so the corset is so narrow and there is still room inside which they said shouldn't be taken in ARGH!!!!! Now I am left with a dress that is too short, too big, and the corset too tight

I would have to wear flats with the bigger slip!!
Tell me what you think. The first pic is the medium slip (sample, thats why it's so long) and the others are my real dress with the big one.

I see how it comes up in the front a little with the bigger slip, but I think you look absolutely breathtaking in it.. JMO..

I think you look beautiful ~ that was one of the dresses I tried on - they wouldnt let you take pictures?

I was there today @ Fantasia Bridal in Rocky Point and they let me take pictures today! The first time I was there she asked if I brought my camera and I didnt she told me to bring it next time I come in...

They have been fantastic - I am sure if you are not happy you should let them know they seem like they would fix it if you say something - let us know what happens - I am planning on ording my dress from there + my bridesmaids and flower girls!

I hope it all works out - you look AWESOME!!

Will the big slip brng the dress to 1 inch off the floor ??? If so, that is not bad because in the event you took your shoes off then your dress wont sit on the floor. The dress is going to drop a bit as you are wearing it so you should be okay. It looks beautiful. I have to admit though this dress does look better with the bigger slip.

Thank you so much girls for your input, opinions, and compliments. I am waiting until tomorrow to go talk to the seamstress about this. I guess they will have to take it in to make it fit better and make the corset the way I want and let out some of the pick ups which I don't want to do but I need the length. I definately am gonna go with the big slip. I just wanted to make sure you didn't think I looked ridiculous. Thank you all so so so so much. I will update tomorrow after I talk to the owner and seamstress.

I was looking at the same dress but with a straight line across the top. I love it, I agree that the corset is too narrow, I would keep complaining

You look absolutely gorgous!! If you don't feel comfortable in it then I would see if they can order you another size - it isn't your fault that they didn't listen. But honestly, it looks great on you!!

Can you take this dress somewhere else to be altered? Sounds like this shop doesn't listen!

But to answer your question, I would get the bigger slip to fill out the bottom. It looks like it's sagging on you with the smaller one. Don't worry you will look beautiful no matter what!

I agree, a bigger slip would totally fill out the bottom. You look very beautiful in the gown.

I woldn't have realized that there was something wrong with it. But certainly complain..it's worth a try!

UPDATE:

They were so nice about everything. They said if it is that bad they would order me a new gown but after talking to the seamstress I don't think that is necessary. But it was nice that they are really willing to help and make me happy. I knew they couldn't go from wonderful to horrible. Now I will just relax and start my fittings a little easrlier than most people I guess just to make sure they get it right. Thank you girls though and I would still recommend Fantasia.

P.S. They changed their policy, they do allow you to take pics now but they didn't when I was trying on samples and they felt bad that the girl who helped me who isn't there any more did not give me the option of signing off for the smaller size so basically just a bunch of bad luck, it's not that they are so bad. Thanks girls you made me feel so much better.
