I visited Tosca Marquee yesterday

I don't know if anyone considered this as a reception location, it's in the Bronx, actually a cute area. The manager...charles I think? he was nice. Kind of reminded me of a taller Joe Peci

It was ok, I thought it looked better in the pictures on the website. In pictures, it looked more city style. In person, the chairs looked cheaper...like bronze colored spray painted. The prices were good, 90 per person for sat and full bar. The menu looked awesome. The atmosphere didn't look special enough for me to make guests come here as opposed to stay on Long Island. I think I can find similar on LI.

My favorite spot so far is the Metropolitian Building in Long Island City. I love the space and look. I haven't 100 percent ruled it out, but it's 150 per person (no matter what day or season) and that's more than I'd like to spend.

I have high hopes for the Old Field Club...I'm going to try to see it next weekend. I don't think I'll love it as much as the Met personally because I'm in love with the Met's personality, but it looks very beautiful and we could have a beautiful wedding there from the pics online for less...110 on a friday or Sunday.

I think a lot of people haven't heard of Tosca Marquee. My MOH found it on the knot or some magazine I forget http://www.toscamarquee.com/gallery/default.asp

Just wanted to say that I had my bridal shower in the main cafe part (in the back room) and people were raving about how much of a selection of food there was and how great it tasted... We had a saturday brunch

Did you check out the foundary, that's very different? I am guessing you want a modern feel.

Hey Future Mrs Mazz--thanks for the info about the food, again the menu looked awesome.

Hey Rendel--Thanks for your inquiry I don't necessarily want a modern feel. I like artistic and I like vintage--And who knows what else I'd like, but I'm having a hard time liking locations. I see why you thought I was going for modern though. I was originally very interested in the Foundry, but I found out the prices have increased in the last few years and it's not like 8,000 for the space rental during peak season not including anything, you have to bring in your own caterer. F that. The Met would be my first choice if money wasn't a factor, but like I said the Old Field Club looks like it would be beautiful for less. Let me know if you know of whimiscal options thanks so much!
