I wanna kick some people

Today is the RSVP date for the e-party and I havent heard from 3 people. 2 of them are guys FI works with (who he said he would talk to tonight)and the other is hard to get a hold of.

I want to kick people.

Now I get a phone call from someone who said she wasnt bringing her 6 year old because she would get a babysitter but now it seems teenagers have something to do in the afternoons on a Saturday (her exact words) and wants to know if she can bring her daughter to the party.

I swear I think I am just going to change the name from engagement party to Melissa and Brians Romper room

what bothers me a little is i know the womans mom is very ill so she cant have her watch the daughter, the womans sister was invited but hasnt RSVPed yet, this woman has a husband, doesnt he have family she can call and ask to babysit.

did i ever mention how i really dont like children

I have a friend who is a part time nanny in Hewlett who watches my kids on occaison, Matt's cousin who babysits sometimes and our parents. Usually I don't have a problem for something like your party where you have advance notice. Matt's aunt gets in a complete frenzy if her kids arent invited to every function. Puhleeze! Get a grip!

This woman had almost 2 months of notice, why oh why did she wait a week before the party to start looking for a babysitter.

the aunt who complains if her kids werent invited, sounds exactly like FI's aunt who has 5 kids.

I think I am going to write a book titled 'Rules you are to follow to not upset or stress a BRIDE'

Rule #1 if the invite says Mr and Mrs that means just the husband and wife are invited which means you have enough notice to find a babysitter. If you can not find a baby sitter in 2 months then either you have a serious problem or your children are the children of evil and no one wants to watch them which means you should stick them in therapy.

Rule #2 if the invite says 2 people this does not mean the 2 people each can bring a guest. The invite is for the 2 people and the 2 people only on the invite

Rule #3 if your child is uncomfortable being dressed up will mean their is a possibility this child will decide to run under a table and take off all his clothes and run around naked. This does not make for good video footage no matter how cute YOU think it is. This is my wedding not the big football game on thanksgiving, their will be no nakedness. So if your child is uncomfortable being dressed up staple his clothes to his body so he can not remove them.

Rule #4 When the RSVP is to a specific person you call that person not that persons daughter and have her respond for you. The RSVP is to go to that person and it is that person you call

Rule #5 If you do not RSVP by the deadline you are automatically a will not be attending. Brides have deadlines and must give final head counts to the hall. This is not a free for all show up when you feel like showing up. This is a headcount affair and an RSVP is their for a reason. You read the fine print of a contract well read the invitation

Rule #6 if you stress the bride she has rights to kick you in the shins

The funny thing is, I really have a bad temper ....FH just bought me a 120lb punching bag & is having a trainer come to my house to teach me how to work on it.
Yikes.

my temper isnt really bad, but my mouth that could get me arrested.

If I am in a store looking for help and the sales people look at me but dont offer to help I usually make a scene and start yelling 'what am I invisable here' or I'll walk behind the register and when someone says 'hey you cant go there' i say oh so thats what it takes to get a sales person to notice a customer in need'

my most recent blow up was at the post office. My mail came at 4pm and that was extremely late (my mail comes between 11 and 1) and I called the post office screaming at them that I was expecting a check and the bank closes at 4 and how the heck do they want to me cover checks I did write when the mail delivery comes 3 hours late. I then told the guy that if my checks bounce and i get hit with fees I am coming after his pay check and see how much he likes people taking his money. then hung up on him.

Yet I wonder why no one ever wants to shop with me

I am always running my mouth & a couple of times it got me into physical trouble. I forget that I am a 'Lady' and houldn't do such things.....
