I want a DOC!!

I want a DOC!!

I just spoke to one and she seemed amazing. I have worked SO hard to plan this wedding and make every little detail the best it can be so that I have no regrets, and I am nervous it won't all be 'executed' correctly, but this person seems like she would do an AMAZING job.

I am going to ask FH this weekend what he thinks about splurging on her, but I'm nervous he'll say no!

Anyone else think this, too?

I was in the same boat as you, but my friend, who used to be a coordinator at Fox Hollow, said it's REALLY not necessary unless you don't have a bridal attendant. In the end, I decided not to do it.

Print an itinerary and give a copy to each of your vendors and your banquet manager. You will be in good hands!

Tell FH if he wants to have a harried, stressed out bride on his wedding day then he'll say no to the DOC.

He'll say yes

i think the most important time for you to have one is before (she makes all the last minute calls) the actual wedding and the getting ready and ceremony. that was when i found she was the most helpful. making sure everyone was ready on time, making sure everything was good during the ceremony and then during the pictures to make sure we got everything we wanted!

i 100% reccomend having one!!!!!

I hired one and didn't tell FH.. He isn't really involved with the planning so he wouldn't know the difference.. If I told him he would be like 'no you don't need it' but I know I do and would just feel better and more comfortable and less stressed so I got one.. I paid for her on my own and on the wedding day or before I will just tell him that I either won her services or she works with the reception hall. Lol

hah a- love it. I think if you say she's 'associated' with the reception hall, he won't know!

I think I am way too controlling and I look at this wedding as my baby so I would not want another person in the mix....but that is just me... but if you can swing it and it will put your mind at ease go for it!!! What does a DOC cost roughly???

I think getting a DOC depends on your venue. If you are having your wedding at an established venue that has many wedding throughout the year, and even per day, and has the manpower, then I'm not sure that it's necessary.

But, like myself, and some other brides that are having venues at unique places where staff is light and you don't really have an event planner on staff, it's important to get the help - especially for the day of.

I would have liked to have one, but my FH was like 'absolutely not'. We are having a family member help us coordinate everything in the morning leading up to the ceremony though.
