I was scrutinizing myself today because I seem to a little lighter - been trying to eat better. But I still have a rather *ahem* generous derriere and NO HIPS!
I wish I had some...the complete lack thereof just makes my butt look like it came out of NOWHERE!

healthier eating habits is one thing (very good for the body)...
to exercise is another (also good).... exercise will tone you body. i would work on just the areas you want to 'appear' better
and to add, im sure you look great (even though i never saw a pic of u)

Oh, I don't think there's any exercise in the world that will make my hips seem bigger!

Suzbride...sorry, I'll have to decline. If my rear end was any bigger, I'd look like an upside down and backwards Barbie!!! (minus the barely-there waist and flowing blond locks of course! And, oh yeah, my arms aren't permanently locked at right angles!!)

Although, I can undestand, when I was thinner I was very self-conscious about my butt, but now rest of me has grown to match

Yes, exactly! I'm trying to build up my gluts in the gym though, to try to give myself some shape.

This post makes me think of that commercial - of course I have no idea what it's advertising, probably weight watchers or something - but you see it around Christmas time where people are opening christmas presents and they're all excited 'just what I always wanted, a spare tire!! a double chin!!! big HIPS!!!'
I don't ever recall hearing a woman ask for hips before.
