I had such a great time at my bachelorette party this weekend and it was so great to forget about my disaster wedding for a little while.
I am 25 days away and I can't finalize any of my details because of the stupid hotel situation. I am not sleeping anymore, When I do fall asleep I wake up from having wedding nightmares.
I was supposed to meet with the florist tonight, can't because I can't finalize anything til I know WHERE im relocating to because I want high CPs if i'm in another bigger room. I can't fill out my paperwork for M*I*A because I dont know where to tell her to go. I can't do my seating chart because I don't know what size the tables are whereever I'm relocating to...I can't do my escort cards because I can't do my seating chart.
I really don't even know what to do anymore. I just want to cry. And thats not gonna get me anywhere either...
Theres really no point to my post except to tell you girls that no matter how much you think you still have left to do, don't fret because I am spending my last days as a single lady bummed out.

Re: I want to cry.
I was just thinking of you and wondering what you were going to do. I would call your RH and DEMAND that they work with you and help you determine where you will be relocating you to. Our weddings are around the same time, and I know I would be freaking out if I didn't know where it was going to be and couldn't plan all the things I have been doing. As it is I am freaking out and I have an RH. Maybe you can hire a DOC, who can help you work all of this out. Mine has been extremely helpful.

Unfortunately demands don't get me anywhere there. They say they're working on it but I don't know if they are. If they're not, they will not be sorry, thats for sure, because I will show up there with a news crew. Imma get 7 on my side!!!!!
I'd love to hire a DOC but again, until I know where I'm going there is nothing they can do either.

Kitty, Im SO sorry you ae going through this!
Did your RH pull out at the last min? Did they go bankrupt?
Do they have any relationships they can reccomend?
It might be worth paying a DOC and using her/his relationships. THAT will prove to be worth every friggin cent you might pay for a DOC. Plus as the wedding is close they can help you organize everything.
But you MUST take tis one day at a time and...
..the best advice I can give is concentrate on the solution, not the problem.
if it means both you and FH taking one day off from work and calling/visiting every hall you can then do it. Its worth taking on day off this week to try and knock this out.
But it WILL be ok and you will find a great place. Just take it one day at a time and think about solving the problme, not the problem.

LOL its funny you say that. My florist is like 'let me know if you need ANYYYYYYYYTHING, I am here for you'
I can tell people feel bad for me--you should hear when I call places to see if they have my date open....they're like WHAT?!??!?!?!
I always preface it with, no i'm not pregnant...

They are still telling me I could do it there but I can't tell you how many little things they have left to do...they also don't have ceremony space for us which ummm, WE NEED. Our only option there is to get married on the public beach (weather permitting and with 39854290385023985023895 people around on Labor Day Weekend) or to get married in the reception room, which don't get me wrong, is gorgeous, but I didn't pick to get married in Long Beach to get married in a room overlooking West Broadway, know what I mean? So we have to move...plus I still think they'll miss my date too. I don't believe any of their info anymore, I was just looking back at an email that was projected opening 6/16....and here we are 8/10, still not open!

Honestly...if you decide to do the ceremony on the beach I really don't think there will be a lot of people there at 6pm on a Friday night. I think you could totally get away with doing it on the sand right in front of the hotel. If you have any guests that are willing to act as 'security' then you can section off a part of the beach....plus...I don't think people will walk in the middle of the ceremony once they see what is going on. Is the hall willing to section off a part of the beach and put chairs out?

Oh Kitty, I'm so sorry! What are your options for relocating? Can you do it at Atlantica since they own it? That's a beautiful beach location too.
I'm praying for you!

So they are under renovation! Truckers!
But like I said, if you have to take a day off and visit, talk to other places do it.
Im just SO sorry you have to go through this!
Is it possible to talk to the town/city hall and see if they have a place on the beach that can be roped off for you?
Just trying to think of different ideas for you.

Re: I want to cry.
Oh no!! I'm terribly sorry you are going through this. I know you are having issues with the hotel being completed and all... but what are they goign to do for you? Are they going to find a place to relocate to? Or do you find that? What is it you are waiting on? Is it the hotel?
I'm sorry I really feel for you with this whole situation. I also don't really know or understand that exact situation... other than your first place might not be completed on time.
The sleeping part.... you can't go on for the next 24 hours not sleeping or sleeping and waking up with nightmares. That's only goign to further make everything worse. Maybe try some tylenol PM or go to a dr for an RX for a mild sleep pill?
I'm sooo sorry!! Here are some huggies for you....

Re: I want to cry.
I am going to talk to a girl at my gym tonight......her SIL was supposed to get married there in July. I will ask if they helped her re-book or if they had to do everything on their own.
Also if you do have to change I suggest a DOC....they can help you re-book everything and take some of this stress off your plate.

I am so sorry your going through this but I would maybe consider getting a DOC as well and even looking at alternate venues just in case.

I was going to suggest the same thing, although I'm sure that that was number one on the list of potential relocates I am so sorry about all of this, I feel so awful for you. I wish there was something that I could do!

I wish I could do something for you! I can't believe they're keeping you hanging for this long! Can you DEMAND that they rebook you somewhere immediately? Tell them you're going to get the LIW crew on their a$$!
I really hate that any bride would have to go through this before her wedding!

Re: I want to cry.
I'm sooo sorry to hear what you are going through. I know it's hard to believe now since you must be devastated (I would be too) but everything will work out. Where have you tried to relocate to? All places in Long Beach? Have you tried Lido Beach?
