I had such a great time at my bachelorette party this weekend and it was so great to forget about my disaster wedding for a little while.
I am 25 days away and I can't finalize any of my details because of the stupid hotel situation. I am not sleeping anymore, When I do fall asleep I wake up from having wedding nightmares.
I was supposed to meet with the florist tonight, can't because I can't finalize anything til I know WHERE im relocating to because I want high CPs if i'm in another bigger room. I can't fill out my paperwork for M*I*A because I dont know where to tell her to go. I can't do my seating chart because I don't know what size the tables are whereever I'm relocating to...I can't do my escort cards because I can't do my seating chart.
I really don't even know what to do anymore. I just want to cry. And thats not gonna get me anywhere either...
Theres really no point to my post except to tell you girls that no matter how much you think you still have left to do, don't fret because I am spending my last days as a single lady bummed out.

any suggestions over there? aside from the not mentioned hotel and Bridgeview i feel like theres nothing over there. Bridgeview is booked on my date.

It sure is, in Lido. How many people are you having to your wedding?
yes but the sands is SCARY (no offense even though I don't think we have any brides there). 160 people...all the replacement options are nice, they're just not what I wanted--at all.

Listen, are you able to get you deposit and all the payments back?
Secondly, I think if you describe your situation to other catering halls, they maybe able to help you. There are number of beautiful places on the water, similar to that location, and if you call and speak to the head banquet manager directly, than you maybe able to move your wedding.
I think you should get a DOC (I have an EXCELLENT one if you are interested. She is my life saver, fm if you want her details). Being that your hall can't seem to guareentee anything, I think if you had a DOC on your side, you maybe able to squeeze more out of this situation.
I will say a prayer for you tonight, don't stress (easier said than done) and above all, no matter where you get married, you are marrying the love of your life and thats what matters. Good luck and I really really hope everything works out for you

I can't find a website for Rockville Links either but I have seen someone posting recently about it as they are getting married there. Maybe post a new thread with that in the title?

I didn't want a country club, I wanted a hotel. Which leaves me with basically one option, Garden City. And that eliminates the beach all together. Sigh.
Thats why I'm thinking about moving to the city...at least if I do that I can have a hotel with views as opposed to just a hotel? I donno.
To answer whomever asked about the Atlantica, I can't ask my guests to drive all the way out to Westhampton. Half of my people are coming from NYC and don't even have cars, thats why we booked in Long Beach as it was

What are your city options? FM me if you want. I lived in the city for 5 years and dated an exec chef at one of the fancy hotels and know a lot about them. Maybe I can help?
