so i usually just get a regular manicure, but it chips like the next day and i'm tired of my nails looking like crap. it doesn't do much for my ring ya know?!? so should i do the whole permanent french tip thing again? i hate how weak it makes your nails when you take them off

Just wrap your real nail or use just the powder instead of tips. I dont know much about the permanent french..sory. I know what you mean though. I just got a manicure wednesday and they are chipping already a little bit.

oh yeah they do all of that, it's just that i'm a constant typer, i'm always typing at work, i'm very hard on my nails.

What I try to do is I always do a second coat of clear when i get home. Also - always pick a color you have at home..
My fave is Not Nearly A Waitress Red by OPI - so this way - you use it at the nail place - and when it chips - it's an easy fix because you have the color at home...

if your nails are long enough, ask them to just wrap your actual nail... if you want to keep up with the acrylic nails then i say go for that! thats what i do!

i did acrylic tips til my nails got long enough then wrapped them. i noticed when i get french it cheaps easy too.

I get regular manicures once a week adn they usually last at least 5 days! Queen Mary's nails in East islip!

Everytime I get a manicure they chip the next day. I always thought that was just the way it goes. But a few months ago when I got one, I put a clear coat on them every other day starting with the next morning and it lasted about 5 days.
There's a place in Bayville that does excellent manicures and they always lasted ... used to be called Bay Nails but they moved and I think re-named themselves ... but they are great and still in Bayville.

i usually bring my own polish when i get a manicure/pedicure....great for chips and keeps the manicure/;pedicure cost down...i can go weeks ( i stretch this as much as I can on a wedding budget)

I had the permanent french for like 5 months and I got sick of it but I have acylic on my nails. They are short but the polish stays on so much longer. I like a very natural look especially for the summer. Don't mind me I am obviously very bored that I took a pic of my nails...lol
This is what mine look like. Very easy to maintain and very plain.
