For me and FH it was the feeling we got when we walked in and while we were getting the tour. And definitely the service we got and their flexibilitiy in working with us. Don't be afraid to negotiate! FH has negotiated everything so far and it has definitely paid off!!!!

Crissy, I heard Villa's is very nice, but I have never been there. I just went to a wedding this past month at CLM, and I have nothing bad to say about it. The food was great and so was the service! Bride and groom were so happy!

I just realized you are getting married only a week after me!!!!!!! We are month twins! FH and I actually considered your day!

Actually FH and I were booked for Dec. 2, 2006 and then after a year and a few months of us being engaged and everyone knowing our date, his cousin went and booked there wedding for Dec. 3rd!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so upset to say the least, and I could not stop crying for about 2 weeks just thinking about how they could do that to us! People told me to leave it and that my wedding would blow their's away, but I got so upset thinking that 1/2 of FH's family would be leaving my wedding early because they have a wedding the next day at 11am. I would have just gotten upset all over again on my wedding day. So after begging my FH to switch to Nov. 25th (he did not want it on a holiday weekend), we did, and it is totally working out in our favor. The owner of our catering hall's daughter took my original date (dec. 2), so the place is going to look amazing with Christmas Decorations (over the top) for our wedding, and our OOT guests are coming in to spend Thanksgiving with us, where we normally would not see them for the holiday.

What color are your girls dresses? What vendor's do you have booked so far? I only booked the church, RH, and the DJ. I am in the process of shopping around for a florist, and then I have an appt Feb. 21st for a photographer & videographer.

I graduated in 96.. I loved it there! I was actually looking at pics with my friend last week. It was even beautiful back then!!

OMG I can't believe his cousin did that! How rude!! I didn't book a certain date because a friend of a friend of a friend booked it shortly before me and even though it would only effected a handful of people I didn't want to effect the other bride. How rude!!!!! I'm glad everything is working out though...it is really nice that you will get to see your family for Thanksgiving when normally you wouldn't! And you have like an extended wedding weekend - how fun!

I remember when I was younger and obsessed with Michael Jackson, I used to brag about how we shared the same bday, and that made us soulmates!!!!

I know what dress I want for the girls and what color, I just have to find a place that sells them (I know the Wedding Center in Commack but I have not heard good things about ordering from them so I am scared) and get everyone together to order them. I have not even looked at a dress for me yet. How bad is that!? I think I may have found my favors as well, so hopefully that will be something else I can cross off my list. I am planning on getting a lot done this weekend because FH and I have been so lazy every weekend. We keep putting it off.

Yes I have been very lucky that my FH is very helpful. Sometimes, unfortunately, he is too helpful though and it is like two bridezillas planning this thing! He wants to be involved in every decision! But he is super excited and cute about it, so what's not to love?
