I want to kill everyone!!! not really kill...more like run away from everyone...
my fil's gave us a real hard time planning this wedding - they didn't think i was healthy enough post-surgery to think about planning a wedding...so basically the 2 families are not speaking and don't plan on it.
They finally came around and said they would pay for their own people - or $5K (if more, they would pay) 1 mo. b/f the wedding.
FH and I have been doing all the planning and my parents paid for everything up till now. I thought there was nothing wrong w/us having FFIL make the check out to us & I would pay the final dep. on the band, pics, etc.
FFIL made the check out to my dad - my parents want to sign the check over to us & give us the balance of the $ they told us they would give so we can finish paying all the deposits, incidentals and the final balance at the Sans Souci...FH thinks that my parents should be making the payments bd/c they are the parents of the bride.
I told him to grow up b/c lots of people at our age pay for their entire wedding themselves and it's all the same money - so who cares-- we are lucky that out parents are helping us out.
Am I crazy??
Finally this morning, totally out of charcter, I was yelling at him about how we should cancel the whole thing, how his parents haven't called to see if they can help w/ anything(I called them to tell them I'd love it if they can do their guest seating), they are coming like invited guests & the fact that his dad never called to say that he liked the invitation or even that he saw it...and the other stuff his parents have done to suck the fun out of planning this.
So FH called back and apologized & I told him at this point we should worry about us & how great we are together and not who writes this check or the other...
