I have long curly hair and layered it about 6 years ago - and it remains layered to this day. Best thing I ever did! My hair is very thick, so I thought that layering it would only make it 'bigger' -- I was wrong - it made it lighter and bouncier.
I don't have any good pics of me scanned - sorry!

I have long curly hair and its layered because I also blow it out straight, the layers give it style when its straight and better curls when its curly!
