Surprisingly, we are only missing 15 RSVPs. The majority of them are FH's relatives. FH's mother is in another world and it would be a major deal asking her to call the relatives. I was thinking of sending them this little card.
Here is what I want to send,
About a month ago, you received an invitation to our wedding. The RSVP date has since passed and we have not heard from you. We hope that you will be able to join us in our special day. Even if you cannot attend, we really need to know. Kindly send back back the RSVP card immediately. If for some reason you no cannot locate it, please email or call us at ___________.
Thanks, Joyce and Tony

Yeah, I see where you are coming from, but FH doesn't really have contact w/these people and I think he would feel wierd. Also, I have a feeling they might avoid the call. I figured this way its in their face.
BTW congrats to both you. You were a beautiful bride.

I would also suggest just calling them. I know it's a little uncomfortable at times, but it's probably the best course of action. Can FH's dad possibly help out in the calling? I know that this task was left to him.

I would call, rather than send the card, the card can be read wrong and possibly come across a little snotty. Also with the card you aren't guaranteed a response.
If you call you'll get the answer right away.

I agree with this. Although, quite frankly if they are that rude that they can't respond, if it comes across as snotty, who cares? But that's me and I'm the argumentative type
I would just make him call. Tough tookies if he doesn't like it. If he doesn't talk to these people, I'm sure you speak with them even less. I would let him handle it.

I agree with everyone else, you should call them, if your FH wont do it cause he doesnt talk to them, you should make him or just call yourself.

I say call. I made our parents do the calling for their respective sides and it worked out fine.

I would definetly give them a call rather than send the card. A call is more personal than a card and besides with a call they will have to give you an answer.

I'd agree - you only have about 15 people. If you and FH don't feel comfortable there may be other family members who can help? Maybe to half of the list each?
I think a call would be better, since...if they didn't reply to your original RSVP they more than likely won't reply to the re-RSVP!

It's going to be extra work, but you should call each of them. Maybe your parents can help call relatives and you and FH can call friends to split it up?

I'm with Nina! I would make the calls so you know right away and you save money on stamps!

Even though it might be awkward, I'd call before I sent something else in the mail.
Are you certain FH's mother won't call them? If she won't, he should try to get their phone numbers so he can call them.
We had about HALF of our RSVPs missing by the RSVP date. FH's parents were a giant PITA about calling people, but we just kept on them.
It's so frustrating! I feel your pain!

I would have FH call or have a direct relative of his call (his mother/father) on his behalf.
