I wanted to post this on my FB but...

I think I will offend some people...and my family and in-laws will have a heart attack!

But I think I have this...not a full-blown phobia...but definitely a twinge or even a percentage

I hope I'm not the only one.....

I'm not sure...my FSIL had a baby a few weeks ago and my FMIL was getting into details about it....and I was getting really freaked out...

and when anyone talks about being pregnant and childbirth I get really freaked out....

IDK what it is, exactly...the thought of being pregnant sounds not fun at all to me...and the whole labor thing??

I know it's a gift and worth it in the end...maybe when I'm ready to have kids I'll feel differently?

Just the wholleeee thing...pregnancy to childbirth...seems really rough. It makes me

This is true! I just have so many friends (and family members) on FB who are pregnant and I would hope they wouldn't think I was aiming this at them.

I thought I had this but I ended up with 3 kids...still don't understand how that happened..lol

I hated being pregnant with all my pregnancies but I do have to say that its the best experience ever. Feeling them move and seeing your baby coming out of you is priceless...best feeling ever.

After the birth of my first child my sister was totally freaked out about the whole process and kept telling everyone she was going to have me have the kid for her. In the end she was fine and she now has 3 kids.
It really is wonderful. I have to say I loved being pregnant.

A friend of my brother has this hard core! If she starts to think about being pregnant/giving birth she starts shaking, sweating etc. And she LOVES kids!!! She says she will probably adopt.

I think I have the exact opposite - I can't wait to be pregnant!

OMG, i ave the same fear. I have NO desire to give birth. Not even a little bit. Nothing about it looks enjoyable.

I think I'll just adopt.

You guys are actually making me feel better about this!!

I know it's kind of selfish too....I mean there are women out there who can't get pregnant...so it really shouldn't freak me out as much as it does! I just have been thinking lately how much the whole thing bothers me...and I googled it and alas, there is a word for it

The way you feel is totally normal! When I was pregnant I was home sick and I watched a childbirth by accident. (I was watching an HBO reality show and a woman on it went into labor. I didnt think they would show as much as they did and by the time I figured it out I had already seen too much! There was white stuff squirting everywhere and it was AWFUL!) I am TOTALLY squeamish. Blood and anything pain related really freaks me out. After I watched that I called my husband at work in tears. I was telling him, 'I just watched a childbirth and everyone says it is beautiful but IT'S NOT BEAUTIFUL!'. Needless to say my advice to you is: DONT watch any birthing videos! You are not going to see anything like that when you are in labor. You are at the top of the bed. Dont concern yourself with what goes on at the bottom, lol.



Everyone feels the same way you do to a certain extent. The things you mentioned bother some people more than others. I can totally relate to how you feel. I can safely tell you though that I have done it and it is not as scary and awful as you think it will be. Also, I love my daughter so much that if I had to go back and be pregnant for five years in order to have her I WOULD! In a heartbeat! The reward so outweighs the discomfort.

I felt this way for a long time. Ever since I was little, I'd tell my parents I was going to adopt kids. I have always said that if I get pregnant I will be the most miserable,cranky pregnant woman ever. I am very careful in preventing pregnancy and don't want any surprises.

Eventually, the more I forced myself to think about it, the more comfortable I felt with the idea. Sounds silly but I practiced with pillows lol. I'm not 100% over it but it feels good that I know I have made progress.

HAHAHA I was already told by my Family they are moving away for 9 months when I get pregnant!
