no you can, cuz once they are married then they can go on eachotehrs plans. i tried to add john onto my plan under a domestic thing but couldnt. but i think thats why amanda was getting married tonight

lol... the newlywedder kim said i should use it as my icon... so i complied. it's temporary
well you can get married now... and then just have a reception at a later date.. .but once you're legally married, a priest, or officiant of whatever sort wont beble to perform anotehr service

You should be able to get added to his insurance with a Domestic partnership...you pay like $40 and bring proof that you share a household.
Every job that allows you to add your spouse must let you add a DP..you might have to pay a bit more but they can't deny you

you are right, I dont think all companies do this. I know some people who couldnt, as well. Thankfully I was able to add Fh and his kids on my plan!

Do you work for a small company? Either way I would check out the NYC.gov website. Sometimes companies don't relize or don't want to admit that they have to add a DP. The website has all the ways to have someone added and which companies have to abid by these rules.

The priest will perform your ceremony after you are married in a civil union, they just don't call it the sacrement of marriage... it has another name... like, re-commitment or something. A lot of priests WON'T do it, but some will... My friends had a hard time finding someone who would marry them in a church after they had a civil union, but they did find someone... so it can be done.
