yeah but my guess is since you come from the greek orthodox church it will probably be harder for you then us ashes and palm roman catholics.

in english...greek orthodox is stricter about everything and she may not be able to get married in the church after a civil union.

first, i would double check with your church... you dont want any problems come april

ALSO...

a friend of mine and her FH live together. his company allows significant others to join the insurance as long as you can prove that you live together. i would check with your FH's insurance as well. they just had to show proof of mailings to the same address, license and a few other things.

we thought about it, but if my parents found out they would flip so we r not going to... fh has no dental insurance and needs work. We pay out of pocket for him

We were looking into it for a while...Getting the partnership legalized is the easy part. My company requires all the proof of a partnership plus some, a lwayer's signed 'testament' that you are legally joined, a visit at your home from their lawyer to make sure you live together, ALL bank accounts/rent/whatever statements proving you are joined...It would end up taking a year or so to have a partnership approved with my company, so why not wait another few months to be married...
Also, check with your church about their feelings on it...The catholic church is pretty strict on their rules, so I can only imagine what the greek churches rules are like...
