Had to delete original post. I was completely and utterly wrong about what I thought was my friend's 'excuse' for not going to my bachelorette party. I overreacted, took it very personally and assumed the worst.
Not sure if anyone will ever see this, but I'm horribly sorry. The only moron here is me.

Aw man... hmm, maybe she really did go away this past weekend and thought your bach. party was at the same time??? Do you think she just really didn't have any plans and just lied? So sorry!

I'm really sorry. Why don't you ask her if she can make it this weekend? I am having a similar situation. One of my BM's is not coming and I know she was giving me the run around about not being able to make it.

Maybe she thought it was this past weekend! So, ask her if she can go this coming weekend. Then let the chips fall where they may... Either way, you are going to have a blast with your girls in AC this weekend!!

I think you should write her back and say in your own words what Kara and Todd said. She needs to be called out about this

WOW Im sorry that you are feeling like that-it seems like people seem to change color when it comes to weddings. Even the closes of friends turn out to be a little weird when it comes to them-dont know why Just try not to let it bother you or ruin anything for you! You will still have fun-regardless

I think it's great you wrote her back and said something!!! Let us know what her response is!!! It's good you called her out on that... hopefully it really was a misunderstanding and she really wasn't lying about having plans.

oh trust me ...going through the same thing right now for my bachlorette..you kind see peoples true colors..the people that you think you are closest with sometimes surprise you.. just keep in mind that its your time and make the best of it..you will have fun regardless..im sorry that you are going through it..i know exactly how you feel

Absolutely true!!!!! The people you never think in a million years would bail on you are sometimes the ones who do, and for the dumbest reasons (in my experience) and then some people have surprised me in a good way, meaning I didn't even think they'd have any interest and they're the first ones who want to be involved... it's very strange!!!! I think we just have to say, no matter who's there or not, enjoy it to the fullest!!!!

So true drpepper318!!!! I understand that yucky feeling. One of my 'good' friends said she can't come to mine this weekend because she has her cousin's graduation party. I wanted to ask why not just join us afterwards (seriously, we'll be out late) but I didn't. I figured that if she and her sis wanted to be there, they would. Anyway, she had the evite for over a week, but didn't respond until I called her yesterday to find out what her plans were. It's better that way. Friends who really want to be out for such a special, fun night will be there!
