I was in the middle of putting together my invitations when FI asked...

Where are the direction cards for the church??? I told him that if he is willing to make them, then I'd put them in the invites. No response from him after that :) Is anyone putting in direction cards to your church? I only have direction cards to the reception hall. Now I'm wondering if I should have them for the church...

I think you need both. People not familar with the area will not know how to get there.

we are havng direction cards to the church, reception & hotel... but this is b/c more than half og the guests are trvlng from out of town...we don't want them to get lost on LI...

I made a tri-fold card with directions for the church, reception and hotel.

We didnt include them only because everyone knows where the church is already. I wouldn't drive yourself crazy about that.

I think when I mail mine out I will..if the hall doesn't give me their own direction cards then I will make my own and put the church on one side and the hall on the other.

Although I've been invited to weddings where the church has been in Queens and we just looked them up..people will get the directions if you don't provide them

Our church is not located on a main road, so we went to the church's website and then copied and pasted the directions to a document so we could print our own. I think if your church is easy to find and on a main road, then you might not need them.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm working on making direction cards now. Unfortunately none of our family members live around our area. Alot of our guests are coming from LI, Manhattan or CT. I took some information off the church's website but it's not the greatest :(

i did a mapquest search and foudn directions, then copied and simplified them...also make sure (if you can!) you do a run thorugh to double check the directions!
