What if we switched the way people ate in America ...and had the 'dinner meal' aka the large meal in mid-day. Then at dinner time, we would have a lunch size meal. This way, all that food has been burned off during the day and we have had time to digest....rather than it sitting in our stomachs all day. I think we would be a much slimmer society!

LOVE that idea....although when I was in Spain I would get annoyed while out shopping and everything closed up! lol!

Puerto Rico was like this too....
I get sleepy after lunch no matter what anyway.

Years ago, I lost a good amount of weight doing exactly that!
I'd eat a complete breakfast, then a big lunch late in the afternoon (3PM or so). Later in the evening, when I got home from work, I'd snack on veggies or fruit...something light.

I don't think that's true. I think the more convenient or cheaper something is the worse it is for you.

i agree. i worked in a health food store for 5 years and the food is simpler, but why more $$$? I didn't get it!
Also, food is all prepared...nobody cooks from scratch, it seems like. yesterday, fh and i made soup! soup! we were wondering how many couples make soup together??? it was awesome! and easy, too!

That's one of my favorite fall/winter things to do. It's so much better than from a can and sooooooooo easy. We'll make a huge pot and freeze the leftovers.
