I Was Robbed Yesterday!

Original post by SoonToBeMrsBrady

Ladies:
I took off of work yesterday and left my house about 12:15pm to go to a few stores. I was back by 2:30pm and my house was robbed. I think it was my cleaning lady because there was no break in and she's had a key to my apartment for almost 2 years...that's how long she's been working for us. She cleaned my house on Friday and came back yesterday, thinking I would be at work, but I wasn't. I think she had an accomplice and they watched me leave the house and went in. Me and FH were saving our change for the honeymoon in an empty 5 gallon water bottle. It wasn't full, but there had to be $1,000 worth of change in there and there is no way she took that out by herself. She also took my Movado watch, Michael Kors watch, FH's Bulova watch, my Canon Powershot digital camera, FH's Sony digital video camera and 2 of our iPod's. That's all that I've noticed so far. My house was not ransacked or torn apart...someone knew where all of these things were....Bam...the Cleaning Lady did it....but I have no proof. Thank god, I insured my engagement ring, which means that I do have renters insurance...which I am so grateful for...but it's the point, ya know? For any ladies out there who do not have their ring insured or their possesions in their house, you may want to think about it. She knew we were planning a wedding....and she goes and robs us...LOSER...What goes around comes around.

I am so sorry. You must feel so violated.

I hope that something can be done and these peckerheads are caught.

I'm so sorry that that happened to you- does she work for a company or herself? If she works with a company, she is probably bonded and you should call them and they may be able to help.

She works for herself, unfortunately.

Girl your a s s better go find her or something. Get somone to go with you and pretend to be a lawyer . Hell she should be arrested for what she did. I can't believe some people would have the audacity.

This will cheap you a lessson to. Don't let someone into your house unless your have even a criminal background check done on them.

It rained all day yesterday and nobody was outside...which they usually are. One of my neighbors, is going to walk around tonight and ask everyone else on the block if they saw something.

I think that if she thinks that she got away with it...she'll call me in a few weeks to clean and I'm gonna let her come and once she tried to open the door with her key, that doesn't work anymore b/c I changed the locks, I'm going to greet her with my fist in her face.

Of course of all days!!
I'd go with the PP said. Maybe have the police go to her place and check it out.

Good luck!!! I hope they nab her.

OH My God!!! I was just robbed recently at a club..Someone went in my purse and took my camera...which was bought by FH and was very expensive...I never ever leave my purse just lying around anywhere, I always carry my purse around my wrist when I go out partying, but that night I could not find my club purse so ended up taking something else...The guy who robbed me had no idea who he was messing with.. I was not gonna sit there and let it go by....only because my FH was pissed off at me and he had every right to be...he payed a lot of money...and I was not gonna let some loser enoy what did not belong to him...

I did my investigation, found out who it was..I called up his friend, told him I knew who stole my camera and I knew he knew..and he better tell me where the the loser lived..or he too woyuld be in trouble...he admitted but said he didnt know where he lived..so I found out the guys number..called him threatened him and told him I was gonna go to the police if we didnt settle right there and then..he never answered...he then called my house from his house ...not realizing I have calleer ID.. I looked up his info online...went to his house with my boyfriend...and got my camera back.....he was shaky then....well I got my camera back...loser deleted all my pictures though which thankfully I had uploaded into my computer...only went htis far because it was not fair!!!!!

Sorry this happened to you!!!

maybe you should do the same....if youre almost 100% sure it was her...accuse her...tell her you want your stuff back and youll leave it that and you wont press charges..tell her someone saw her coming into your place..give her a lil scare..

I am very sorry this happened to you guys. My family's home was robbed years ago & we like you determined who it had to be because of the same reasons, no forced entry & they had to know where some things were......years later though we learned we all assumed wrongly......hopefully, your gut is right when you confront her, wait are you confronting her?

Wow I am terribly sorry to hear that. Our business was robbed twice and I know how violated we all felt at that time, I could not imagine how it must feel when its your own home.

I would do this too. Tell her you have a camera set up in the house somewhere, because you didn't trust her to be in the house by herself, and you will go to the police with it if she doesn't return your stuff. Who knows it might work.
