I WAS SO SURPRISED I CALLED 911-----IT POURED YESTERDAY!!!

I was setting up and cooking for our annual block party when my doorbell rang at 1130 in the morning. I went to the door and a suspicious package with a note attached to it told me to step aside and go to the church steps.....I freaked out thinking it was anthrax or a bomb (i watch waay too much detective shows). I grabbed the phone and called 911. My mom was at my house and started touching the package. As I was on the phone with dispatch I was screaming at her not to open it. She opened it and out came a tiara and boa..... I had to explain to the police it was a joke and it was supposed to be my surprise shower.

Anyway, I got to the church steps and my sister and MOH were there. They told me i had 20 minutes to get ready for my shower. I got ready, and they blindfolded me in the car, took me to a nearby dive bar and told me my shower was there. Then they told me to get back in the car and not say anything. We drove a few more minutes and ended up at the Woodhaven House where all my friends and family were there to shower me. I was so happy and COMPLETELY surprised. My sister said 'well you wanted a surprise, you got one'. Yeah I definitely did. I'll never live it down that I called 911. Oh and the block party was a hit. FFIL helped set up in the afternoon so I wasnt inundated with work. Such a great day yesterday.
