I was supposed to go to a wedding.........

My SIL is a BM in a wedding next week and she wanted me to go with her as her 'date' lol...I know the couple pretty well (we pretty much have alot of mutual friends)

I have seen the bride a few times in the last year or so and everytime I see her I ask her how her planning is going and all that. She would show me pictures of her dress, BM dresses, etc. I always said everything looked really nice.

Fast forward to yesterday..........the bride tells my SIL that she really isn't happy that my SIL is bringing me to the wedding because she thinks I am going to talk sh*t about her wedding now that I'm engaged and I didn't act like I was in LOVE with her dress.

Ok so just because I'm engaged...I am going to automatically talk sh*t about a wedding?

I just needed to share because I can't believe it

some girls can be sooo catty and weird!

thats insane, she obviously in insecure about her wedding and how it turned out. if she was so freakin concerned then she shouldnt have been sending you stuff and talking about the wedding with you.

and 2nd, i guess the wedding means more to her than her reputation. she already tarnished her name by being such a freakin bonehead. i guess the weding is more important to her.

Alright this might sound harsh but I dont blame her. NOT that you are going to talk crap about her wedding I think that is crazy talk. I however always thought it a little strange when people brings friends as their dates and not an actual date. I know it is the same cost or whatever. Unless you are inviting a co-worker who will know absolutley no one there but the bride or groom then of course bring someone.

My feeling is If she wanted you there she would have invited you herself. Again if that was harsh I dont mean it that way this is JMHO.

Blow it off! This girl has some issues that have nothing to do with you. Two good things came out of this:
1. You don't have to give her a gift ......saving you $$$$
2. You don't have to have her dumb a$$ at your wedding.
The way I see it, it's a win win in your favor!
