Since most of my family is going to be up for my wedding onJuly 1, 2008 and plan on staying for through the fourth of July weekend I thought we should all get together and have a BBQ at my brothers house. What do you ladies think? and instead of leaving for our honeymoon on July 2nd we'll lweave that Sunday July 6,. How do that sound?

we are thinking of doing a BBQ for our RD. its a bit cheaper and it is summer!!!

that sounds nice, For me it's hard to get the whole family together, so I would want to have the extra time w/ them, hence day after brunch, but a 4th of July BBQ sounds like so much fun!

I think that it is a great idea. you can sit around and talk about the funny moments of the wedding and you can look at different photos that your family mayhave taken and I think that your family would appreciate getting to see you more than just the wedding night where you are so busy. you can share more time with them on your own afterwards.

yeah, this sounds like a lot of fun. FH's brother did this, they had a 4th of july weekend wedding in 2006, it was really nice to get together with everyone the day after the wedding. They had their BBQ at Eisenhower park, and they also had a softball game in the field next to where they had the BBQ. i thinink they had to reserve the field.
