i wasnt cleared for graduation!?!?!?!?!?!?

i called SB today to find out why i havent recieved my diploma yet (i walked in december) and they were like 'oh you werent cleared for graduation' W T F im flipping!

i called the history dept, they said i was cleared and i need to contact he SSE (social studies edu) dept...which i already did, im waiting for a call back

saying i am stressed out is an understatement at this point, im freaking!!!

dont worry.. sometimes colleges do this when they are really busy.. usually you are totally fine but they havent sent your diploma out so they tell you these things.. its probably a mistake

omg! that's awful!! i'm sure it's just some stupid paperwork mixup! but that's horrible and i hope it all works out quickly!!!!

is your bill paid up, or accounted for with student loans? that can be a factor... honestly, i've dealt with SB in the past and they need to get their sh*t together as far as i'm concerned... i'm sure it will work out!!!!!

Ugh. Believe me, I know the deal. I almost had to pay for a duplicate diploma because the S wasn't capitalized in my last name, and they claimed that I had approved the all lowercase spelling. After I demanded to know if they had something in my handwriting with my signature stating that that spelling was approved, they relented, and printed a duplicate with correct capitalization, even though they 'don't understand the big deal, it's not like it's spelled wrong.' Don't understand the big deal? How about IT'S NOT MY NAME????

my school ****** at keeping accurate paperwork or even keeping it at all... i cant even begin to tell you the numerous fights i got in with the dept, everyone giving me the run around... so i know exactly what your going through... and its exactly why i chose NOT to walk at graduation...

once you get that document, lets go for drinks! i know how much they are needed after all the stress...

ugh im sure its just a paperwork glitch...so much red tape and politics at colleges...if all else fails just do what i did when they told me i wasnt graduating...threated to camp out under the person's desk until they fix THEIR error!

When I graduated with my Masters degree this happened. I called to see why I didn't get my diploma and they were like cause you didn't clear. When I called my dept the secretary was like 'oh yeah I have your folder here'. I wanted to scream at her 'didn't you think to call and tell me?' It ***** dealing with the administration there. I will be glad to be done with them forever in a few weeks!
