I went dress shopping!! **Pics of Me in Album (sorry)**

So I went shopping today. We went to Macys in Manhasset and to Davids Bridal at the source mall.

Macys: We hadn't made an appointment so we didn't really get the one on one service but i kinda liked it better that way. I like to try stuff on by myself and I had my mom, moh and bm there so I didn't need anyone else to help. From there i narrowed it down to:

I can't seem to post the third one but these were really the two that fit me the best anyway. The second one didn't really seem like my style but everyone like the way it looked on me. Then we went to Davids Bridal. I will put those in a response post because i'm having issues.

At Davids Bridal we narrowed it down to two. We all LOVED one of them. It was actually the only one that my mom really smiled about when she saw it on me. Her face lit up. The funny thing is that it is TOTALLY not me. I am such a simple person I don't like a lot of sparkle or frills or anything. I always thought I would want no tulle whatsoever.

We had gone through a catalog and marked the ones we liked and the lady pulled them for us. When my sister and I saw it in person we both said its way to frilly but it kinda works. I tried it on and it looked beautiful. I was so surprised!! However, its technically out of my budget (even with the discount they have) I found another one that was also really nice.

It's actually a dress they had when you first walk in. I walked in with my BM first and we both noticed it. Then when my sister came by she did too and my mother as well. Everyone said I had to try it on. it looked really nice and was within my budget. I think we would've liked it better if we hadn't tried it on after the princessy one.

I'm debating between the two of them. I'm leaning toward the second one because of the price and also because when I really think about it the first one may really be too frilly for me. But I'm going back tomorrow with my mom and dad to look at them again. We will most likely be getting it at Davids Bridal because not only were these dresses just as beautiful (if not more) as the ones at Macys but they will be in within 3 months whereas macys takes 6 months and with my wedding being in a little under 5 months I think its the best option.

Looking at the macys dresses I just noticed that the second DB dress is really similar to the first one at macys. I'll post a pic as soon as I get it.

I also always thought I'd never get strapless!! Its funny how you think you want something and when you go in you get something totally different!!

Yeah!! I'm so excited about it!! Especially to be going with people as well!!

Price wise I did ok. The only three pics that posted are all a little out of our budget. However if I was going to splurge I think it might be for the last one that came up just bc of everyones reaction!! FH is so cute. We were talking on the phone last night and I told him that I saw that dress that totally didn't seem like me but everyone loved!! I told him it was out of budget but we found another one that is right in budget (well technically its the budget we had for dress+alterations but its still close).

I wish I could post pics of that one because its the one I think I will be realistically getting. (i told my bm to email me the pics. hopefully they come through) Alhtough when I sopke to FH he said that I should get the one I like better because he wants me to be really happy that day and to him the dress is a very important part.

In numbers its not that much higher but since our budget is so tight even a small increase is a huge percentage higher!! I hate not having money!!!! But either way I'm sure It'll work out!!

Hopefully I will get some soon. But be prepared I recently gained 10-15 pounds and its on a cell phone camera so I'm sure I won't look that good!! (I figure I'd throw in a disclaimer!! )

I can't wait to see pics of YOU in these dresses! I love that one from DB!

I'm having an issue updated the first post with pics. So here are pics of me in the three dresses from Macys. Looking at the pics I do not like the halter one for me!!! I like the other two better.
