and we met Derek Jeter (SO HOT!!) Mariah Carey, Phil Rizzuto, Ozzy Smith, Jason Giambi, Jorge Posada, Joe Torre, Cal Ripken jr and Bob Costas.
It was a benefit dinner for Derek's Turn 2 foundation. We got to take a picture with him . John was walking around talking to everyone, got all thier autographs too. Mariah Carey was very nice, I didnt want to ask her for an autograph but she did take a few minutes to talk to me.
It was held at the Regent hotel ballroom (gorgeous!!!)
I didnt have my camera but one of the other woman at the table did and she is going to scan them and send them to me. Derek is going to autograph the pic we took with him so I wont have that for a month, I told John that we have to put that pic next to our wedding portrait.....he didnt appricate that.

Wow! what was Mariah like ...I can never tell if she is skinny or a little chunky. Recently I think she looks great. Is she really tall? I think i read that somewhere.
I met Derek Jeter about 6 years ago in a bar....when he was a rookie. Someone had to tell me who he was LOL...I should have snatched him up then!!

I always thought Mariah was waify like...but no she is curvy and tall.
My Uncle is a huge sports memorablilia collector, he has spent so much money this past year with one particular company that the owner and my Uncle have become great freinds, so every event he sponsers, he invites my Uncle and us to go with him. The guy had Otis Anderson (a football player) go to my cousin's school, the kids loved it.
Last month we all went to a yankee game, sat in Steinbrenners box and met Don Larsen (he pitched a perfect world series game in 1956). For Xmas this year my uncle got me an autographed bat from Derek Jeter (To Stacey Merry Christmas 2002, Derek Jeter)
