Yes I went to a wedding in the blizzard! I wanted to give my review on it. The place is very nice ( my sisters also got married there last year) I had the chicken and it was good, FI & my sister had the chateau Briand and they said the the meat was good but the gravy that was served on it was VERY salty almost to the point that you couldnt eat it. I would ask them if there is another meat choice that you could pick. The other people at our table also complained about it. Someone at our table had gotten it without the gravy and said that the meat was great. Our waiter/waitress had no clue what was going on. They NEVER came over and asked if you wanted a drink our anything. When it was time to order our food the waiter asked what we wanted chicken, beef or fish. He never told us what kind each thing was. My sister asked what kind of chicken and the waiter said I dont know. When I asked for the chicken he asked me how I wantred it cooked. Over all the wedding was very nice and so was the hall. I would just check into those 2 things that I mentioned. If you have anyother questions just ask.

Wow was there a big turnout? it was dangerous driving last night!!! wouldnt want a couple in me like 2 and then go behind the wheel like some of us do ya know.

considering the weather it was a good turnout there were acouple of tables that had spaces at them. One table opne had 4 people at it. Thw wedding was 6- 11 so its not like it ended at 1 in the morning. Alot of people left after dinner since it wasnt served until 9-9:30.

This is so funny that I am reading this because I actually visited Chateau today. I was not overly impressed by it. The banquet manager was explaining how there is one waiter per table and I was actually impressed by that. However, now reading the post I am not to sure. I guess this just justifies my feelings about this place. Thanks for the post.

That is weird because I went to a wedding there in October and the food was excellent, and the service was also very good. Maybee they were short staffed because of the weather.

Everyone has an opinion..I have been to weddings where service went both ways at the same place. Same way with food, whats your taste may not be another. For example I am west indian and alot of the foods some halls served were bland to my palate but some people may rave about it. As long as the drinks are good..I am ok

I don't think any Chateu La Mer Brides should freek out here. My FH is in the wedding business (videographer) and this was one of the few places he would pick for our own wedding. He's been there countless times and he liked the food, and wait staff. I agree with another bride who said maybe they were just understaffed because of the weather. and they just winged it. hope this lessens the blow. It's a great place usually.
