I went to a wedding this weekend...

It was out of town so I can't offer any info about vendors, but just a few things I noticed:

1. If you are not having assigend tables, at least reserve a couple of tables up front for the BP & families. You would think guests would have the sence to leave these tables available, but it wasn't the case here. The parents were sitting at available seats in the back of the room.

2. Make sure the MC introduces everyone. The MC at this wedding introduced the BP & then the Bride & Groom. This left the parents standing in the hallway

3. If you are using a runner on grass, make sure it is anchored to the ground some way. The B&G used floral pins and the whole thing came up during the recessional.

4. Try to avoid tea lights in the centerpieces. They burned out before the end of the evening, use votives instead.

5. If you are doing the cake cutting/feeding each other ritual, try to have the cake brought to a central location in the room and make sure the MC knows what your intentions are. This B&G had their cake off to the side and a lot of the guests didn't know it was going on. Plus half way through the ritual, the MC started playing music - this is another MC problem!

Thanks for the hints. I thinks runners are grass are asking for trouble. Try just having rose petals tossed before you walk down the aisle. The last thing anyone wants is a bride with grass stains on her knees from falling.

Thanks for the feedback! I agree about the runner - however I'm not sure which would be worse - falling down in the middle of your ceremony, or seeing the grass stains on your gown after the fact....!!!! LOL
