I went to the dr. today

I went to the dr. today for a sonogram and when I booked it I was told that it would be an external sono...when I got there I was told no it is in fact an internal sonogram. I was sooo embaressed because I was not ummm... 'groomed properly' on top of that I am close to ovulation and hubby and I did the dead this morning right before I left for work!

I did, the technician was very understanding and compromised with me. Once she saw how embaressed I was she told me that I could put the wand in so she wouldn't have to stare at my nether regions which made me feel a tad bit better.

I get so nervous about those darn internal sonos that I make myself sick to the stomach. I totally understand.

I've had one too, and I was absolutely traumized.

I must ask (and this may be TMI): for those who have had an internal sono, was the wand tampon-sized? Mine was definitely not, and it was beyond uncomfortable to have the tech 'probing' around for 15 minutes with something that... er.... big. Also, did they put a condom on the wand?

My friend had one, and she said the wand was so small she could hardly feel it!!!!!

They vary in size from place to place. LOL...it is so uncomfortable. Wait until you have to have one during your period. UGH...that is gross. And yes, they should use a condom.
