Sung from a parent to a child, 'I f I Could' meant a lot to me as a mother. It's about how we have to let go of our children eventually, something we moms and dads have a hard time doing. Though we wish we could, we can't protect them forever.

I like Whitney Houston's singing this song better. Although Dolly Patron (sp ?) was the original in the lyrics and music composition.

We used 'Because You Love Me' by Celine Dion for our mother/son dance. The words were inspiraing and just fits for the mother/son dance.
