It only took five classes Wednesdays for one hour (5 Wednesdays) YAY!!! My understanding is that each church is different, so I recommend that you look inot it. Good luck!!!

My FH is doing his confirmation on mother's day too. He had to go to classes every monday for almost 4 months. It does depend on the church.

Can I ask, why are you making your confirmation? Did they tell you that you have to or are you choosing? Hope you don't mind I am asking!

you have to have your sacraments (Baptism, Communion and Confirmation) done in order to be married in the Catholic Church

The reason I ask is b/c FH has not done any of them and we still can get married in the catholic church. I was wondering if your church is making you? Thanks.

If you're both Catholic then you have to have the sacraments done. If one of you isn't Catholic I think there is some other kind of paperwork to fill out. That's what our priest told us (we asked when he asked us if we were both Catholic just cause I was nosey)

Thanks. I got scared b/c FH is catholic but actually not offically since he was never babtised or anything else. I am so our priest said we were fine. Also, I had to go through all those years of religion I am so making my kids...lol... Just double checking Thanks a bunch!

We are both catholic
and the church did not make me due my confirmation. I just wanted to In our church as long as we were both baptized and did our communion they were willing to overlook the confirmation. However, since it was only five classes I decided to do it anyway I have an 11 year old daughter who did her communion last year (at the same church and with the priest who is marrying us), is taking confirmation classes right now, and is an altar server at church I wanted to show her by example Originally, we though my FH would take that classes with me however.....he was baptized Orthodox Greek and they do all the sacraments at baptizim, so he did not have to take the classes with me , now he makes fun of me

Thanks. Ok so it was your choice b/c we were told you didnt have to so I got scared. I told FH do what you want if you want to go for it. He said no way which is fine with me. Thanks so much for the info!
