I THINK YOU SHOULD USE THEM, IF PEOPLE WANT TO CLAIM THAT IDEAS WERE STOLEN, GET OFF THE BOARD AND DON'T POST ANYTHING. I hate all this drama.
I'm sorry people are being mean about this situation.

I just posted a picture of my menu design, if in three months from now someone else post a picture of the exact menu that I did, Good for them, I would be soooo happy.

don't let mean people get you down, if you already paid for the books, use them!!

That's too bad Curly2003 that you weren't able to use the programs you had initially wanted. I read the drama, and although I won't post what I truly feel (I disagree with some people's opinions), I just wanted to say that I hope the programs you do end up with are what makes you happy. I guess it wouldn't be a Friday without drama on the boards.

I don't know why . . .but this program incident is really bothering me.

If someone shares their wedding ideas on the WORLD WIDE WEB, how could they possibly be upset if someone uses 'their' idea? If you don't want people to use your idea, why post it?

I'm confused.

Blow off this silliness and pettiness and use those programs GIRL!!!!! We all take ideas from other places, you simply had a vendor recreate something you wanted. WE HAVE ALL DONE THAT!! I will be bringing my florist pictures of arrangements I have found on the internet! I hope I don't have to track down the person who first created that arrangement!

I agree with everyone here, use them if that is what you really want. Like it has already been said, if you don't want your ideas to be used in any way, shape, or form even if a vendor is creating something that a customer brought to them, then by all means don't post it. I thought that the reason for this board was to share each others ideas and help one another. I have found so many ideas from here and if it hadn't been for this board my wedding wouldn't be as creative as it is turning out. I'm not a creative person what so ever, so I really count on this board to help me. In fact I really like Stef's program, and whether I make them or get them done shouldn't be the issue. Just be flattered that someone or many people really think your creation is awesome. Who cares how it is used! How many ideas did Stef use on this board? Did she get permission from each person? I agree that this is all petty garbage and that there are far more important things to fuss over than programs.

Just a little history behind my screenname.

I am a radio personality. What I say during my show on a daily basis is heard by hundreds of thousands of people. It is very common that other personalities 'borrow ideas' from one other. It happens all the time. I expect this from time to time because that's what show biz is all about. But when I come up with an original idea that I don't want anyone to PROFIT from, I send it to the Writers Guild Of America for copyrighting purposes. That way, if anyone DUPLICATES (not replicates, DUPLICATES) my 'idea', I can be protected.

Recently, I pitched a show idea to a major TV network. In other words, I SHARED my idea with them. If I REALLY wanted to prevent them from not 'stealing' my idea, I would do one of two things . . .I would either copyright it, OR I wouldn't share it at all.

Just some food for thought. Get mad if you wanna. I still love you all.
