I wiped Waldbaums out !

HAH HAHHH.

I just did a grocery shopping at Waldbaums, and my bill after the sales was $98. I gave him my coupons (Which were TRIPLED this week again, and the $1 ones were doubled as always) well my bill was $53 after the coupons !
Can you say NATURAL HIGH !!!

It was a fun shopping spree, I got several things FREE, PLUS they gave me money back.
For instance, for a few items such as baby wipes, Uncle Bens Rice, Multigrain cereal bars, Brillo pads, and a few other things, the coupon value (after it was tripled) was MORE THAN the price itself !! HAHHHHH.
I think one of those was $1.69 and I had a 70cent coupon that was tripled to $2.10....
This is definately a great way to 'sample' new items for FREE !

So I saved $65 last week and $45 this week....

Anyone want me to do their grocery shopping, I just charge a small fee !
Anyone get the sunday paper and throw out the coupons, I'll be your coupon bin !

I feel like I just won the lottery !

PS- Pathmark has the hazelnut creamers on sale for 99 cents this week ! (im not sure if all stores run the same sales in all areas)...

No, they only do it sporadically (of course in the offices, its planned WAY AHEAD of time, but they wont tell us customers in advance ! )...

Ididnt even know until I moved out here 2 years ago, that all these supermarkets have DOUBLE coupons EVERY DAY.. IN Queens, even DOUBLE was a treat...

Pathmark only doubles 50cents and under, Shoprite 99cents and under, Waldbaums $1 and under, and StopnShop I beleive $1 and under...

.......so, any coupon thrower-outers out there ??...

Ok, so out of the stores that double $1.00 which stores have the best prices. I am asking because we are getting the house soon and trying to save money so I really want to go shopping and get the best prices! I think Waldbaums/Stop and Shop? I think pathmark has good prices but I don't like that they don't double over .50 cents! I want my $1 coupons doubled DAMIT!

YEp, my favorites are Waldbaums and stop n shop. Although every week, I look through every single one, and if there are ALOT of items on sale, I'll make a trip to another store. But if there are only 2 items on sale somewhere else thatI want, I wont bother...

every saturday I go thru every circular lol
then I make my list then for instance if something is 2.79 at pathmark and then is 2.29 at waldbaums and I am going to both stores I cross it off and buy it where it is less, its funny how when you go thru all the circulars you find these buys!

Then I have this silly habit
IF I decide that AFTER the coupon, I stil dont want to pay that price (for instance Sensodyne toothpaste was like over $5 a tube ! and even with a 50 cent coupon tripled, I would rather buy Colgate or Aquafresh !)
Well when I decide not to get the item, I leave the coupon right on top of the item...so that someone going to buy it will have a treat for the day !

I did that many times. the people watching the cameras must think im nuts !!

Hey someone might as well make use of the coupons!

and!!! On saturday I buy two SATURDAY early editons of newsday for 75 cents and get more coupons!!!
for 1.50 I get like 200 bucks in coupons lol

Yep, Tammy, its amazing how you can find deals beyond deals just by looking through the circulars!
I make my lists and then the majority rules ! I go to the store with the most stuff...
DH will not let me buy another role of Bounty !
I stocked up once when they were 50cents a roll (packages of like 16 rolls for $8 or something like that)...and also Brawny for that price !
Thats half the price of the crappy store brand paper towels !!
Now if i ever see paper towels on sale (the big bulk packages), if its not 50cents a roll, I dont bother !

I am in levittown but shop at the n. massapequa waldbaums b/c I used to work there and like it better than the levittown store

Wow, I am so jealious of you!........It is amazing to me how my grocery bill adds up so quickly to $90 every week!.........You have inspired me!!! I am gonna get the sunday paper and clip coupons and see how much better I can do for next week!....

Sorry Tammy, I live in Smithtown, on the Commack side, so my Waldbaums is the Commack one in the Mayfair shopping center. and the other stores are Smithtown and Hauppauge...

My SIL and brother live in Massapequa Park !

I am the same way. I cut coupons and only buy things on sale. However, I think Stop and Shop must have been losing money on all my after-coupon-free-items because somehow the computer knows and if I buy an item for $1.99 and have a $1 coupon that is doubled, the coupon read-out looks like this now:

-1.00
-0.99

They caught on!!
