I just did a grocery shopping at Waldbaums, and my bill after the sales was $98. I gave him my coupons (Which were TRIPLED this week again, and the $1 ones were doubled as always) well my bill was $53 after the coupons ! Can you say NATURAL HIGH !!!
It was a fun shopping spree, I got several things FREE, PLUS they gave me money back. For instance, for a few items such as baby wipes, Uncle Bens Rice, Multigrain cereal bars, Brillo pads, and a few other things, the coupon value (after it was tripled) was MORE THAN the price itself !! HAHHHHH. I think one of those was $1.69 and I had a 70cent coupon that was tripled to $2.10.... This is definately a great way to 'sample' new items for FREE !
So I saved $65 last week and $45 this week....
Anyone want me to do their grocery shopping, I just charge a small fee ! Anyone get the sunday paper and throw out the coupons, I'll be your coupon bin !
I feel like I just won the lottery !

PS- Pathmark has the hazelnut creamers on sale for 99 cents this week ! (im not sure if all stores run the same sales in all areas)...
We should have a Grocery Bargains TAB ! and I'll be the leader ! HAH..

I just started using coupons and I am having a blast with it. Last week I got Lysol wipes for .24 and carpet frest for .09.
I saw that you are living in Smithtown on the Commack border, that is exactly where I grew up. I was right off Jericho Tpke where the new CVS is.

Good deals, Jodi ! IM right down the road from CVS, Im closer to the Amoco station on Cornell.(Thats the light AFTER CVS if your heading west). Im on that hill over Jericho....

Of course I know Cornell, my ex lived on that street. I was on Morewood. I do not know if it is still there, but there was a wig store on the corner of that block where the big hill is.

Anna, You rule!!!!!! I shop @ Waldbaums every week & my best savings every was $93 off $153 order!!! It was triple coupons & I had sooo many, plus it was buy 1 get 1 free on all the meat that I buy!!! You go girl!!! I usually average $40 savings on $120 order!!!!! I LOVE COUPONS!!!!

YAYYY. maybe we should tally up our grocery savings like we tally up our points ! I told DH, this saves me from working a p/t job, this is my p/t job right here !

Wow Anna!! And Joe thinks I'm the Coupon Queen -- I think that crown belongs on your head!!!! Joe ran around at Christmas looking for a new coupon holder thingy for me and I laughed when he found it!!! I love getting the circulars and looking for the coupons and when I'm at my sister's or MIL's, I take the ones they don't use!!! I will only buy something if I have a coupon, but I've NEVER seen them tripled!! And I've NEVER gotten a $1.00 coupon doubled, ever!! As a matter of fact, I was in Shop Rite up in PA over the weekend and my 55 cent couponed wasn't doubled to $1.10, it was only doubled to add up to $1.00!!! The nerve!!!!

Debbie, shoprite stinks with doubling. I didnt even thinkthey doubled over 50cent coupons ! But they do have killer deals sometimes !

susan some places take them out!! for themselves!!! they sold the place but by moms house there was a card store and every time my dad would get a paper there would be no coupons!! the owner of the store, a man and wife used to shop where I work!! they used to have a coupon for every item they bought!!! someone once told me they were going to complain to consumer affairs or something that there are never coupons in their papers but then they sold the store what nerve!!!!! always better off in a deli, I have found that sometimes the supermarkets dont always have coupons either, b/c people steal them!! I know I worked in a supermarket for ten years and have seen people take the coupons out of papers!! they would buy like one paper but take coupons out of six of them I would just laugh, what was I supposed to do, arrest them? lol

That happened to me once, and I happened to have the number handy since I recently subscribed (to newsday), and I called to inquire as to why there were none, and she said that week they were in the Saturday only but she gladly had the coupon section added to my Sunday paper ! I dont know why they switch the days sometimes !

Right now I get the paper every day, I signed up for this GREAT DEAL @ $1.25 a week for 6months for EVERY DAY deilviery. When thats over Im going to subsribe for Sunday only. But I'll be dammed if I subscribe to Sunday only and they put the coupons in the Saturdays paper that week... OH NO,they wont pull that one on me !
