My birdcage veil. It wasn't a lot of money, but the morning of the wedding while I was getting my hair did, I just didn't like how it looked. To me, it looked like a trash bag over my face. So, off with the veil. Oh, well! I still had a pretty clip to wear in my hair that I adore.

Menus....Although they came out amazing (I give full credit to DH cause he spent hours putting them together) but they were only on the tables for like 10 min

I didnt let myself get useless stuff that people waste money on to begin with. I had to be rational about whats important, what people care about and not about what the rest of the wedding industry thinks is appropriate. Its so easy to get $ucked in. In hindsight I think all of my decisions were right. No programs, no favors, no place cards, and no to a bunch of other extra stuff that is cute an all, but totally useless.

-- DOJ (wish i wore something i had, or borrowed it) -- a longline bra (i didn't end up wearing it) -- expensive shoes (i should've just gone to Payless Shoes or something) -- i wish i bought my veil & headband online and not at the bridal store (where i spent SOOOO much money on them)

Overall I feel pretty good about the money I spent - even on the extras (i.e., programs, bubbles, photobooth, flip flops...)
However - the wish bowl & personalized table numbers.... I would not do those again. Not worth the DIY time and money spent. barely anyone noticed either one, so I would skip those.

Cameras for the tables. MIL insisted that they HAD to be there, they are at EVERY wedding...
The photos are so dark you cant see anything. Would have rather have done a photohare card.

I have been totally debating with myself over shoes. I decided on cheap and your post makes me feel better. I was also wondering about the headpieces. I'm just worried about quality without seeing them in person first.

I feel the same way about the headpiece. I've seen some beautiful ones online but they could be making them look good and then u get them and they look cheap. Unfortunately bridal stores jack up the prices. decisions decisions
