Two pairs of shoes I don't need.

Samples of items that I was testing for my DIY centerpieces that I am not even doing anymore.

-- DOJ (wish i wore something i had, or borrowed it)
-- a longline bra (i didn't end up wearing it)
-- expensive shoes (i should've just gone to Payless Shoes or something)
-- i wish i bought my veil & headband online and not at the bridal store (where i spent SOOOO much money on them)

I have been totally debating with myself over shoes. I decided on cheap and your post makes me feel better. I was also wondering about the headpieces. I'm just worried about quality without seeing them in person first.

I feel the same way about the headpiece. I've seen some beautiful ones online but they could be making them look good and then u get them and they look cheap. Unfortunately bridal stores jack up the prices. decisions decisions

I got a headpiece from weddingfactorydirect.com for 30 bucks and it is soo gorgeous!

Cameras for the tables. MIL insisted that they HAD to be there, they are at EVERY wedding...

The photos are so dark you cant see anything. Would have rather have done a photohare card.

Thank you for posting this!!! FH is INSISTING we get them... I can't wait to tell him about this lol!

I was actually really content with all my purchases and did some DIY when i could...

i guess my wire name hanger... my dress was way to heavy to support it for even one photo. i put my veil on it but still... damn you, etsy, damn you.

photosharing cards

Really!!! I have over 800 photos on my site, seems like everyone uploaded to it

Marie, where did you put your photosharing cards? Where they in your OOT boxes, on the tables, bar?

I put them in the OOT bags, the favor boxes before I wrapped them and I had a few extra that I had them put on the bars

I was happy with all my extras. I don't regret any wedding purchases.

I don't regret anything really. Maybe I could have found a less expensive photographer. I'll admit I bought expensive shoes, but I wore them for 12 hours and my feet were fine! That's worth something lol

Customized aisle runner. It was so expensive and definitely not worth it ..

funny you mention... that's another thing i borderline regret... cocktail hour napkins and customized matches to put in a bowl near the cigar roller... HIGHLY doubt anyone will notice or even take one although i think that if you give the napkins to the cocktail waitresses (if you have them) or even to the bartender himself, and he directly hands it to the guest, they're bound to notice when they look through their empty cup at one point

I had an overabundance of napkins and matches due to an error. A total of 600 each. After the reception, we had only 50 books of matches left. We did have a lot of napkins left, but we gave them to the staff to use during CH. One thing I am so happy I did.

I did - and I loved them! My strategy to keep the cost reasonable was limiting the #. So we had a 200 person wedding and I ordered like 250 monogrammed napkins. I had my RH put them on the bars during CH and on the passed horsdouevers trays. Once they ran out the RH switched to their standard cocktail napkins. Best of both worlds and not a huge expense!

Believe it or not, I got compliments on 'all the personalized touches' of which people included the cocktail napkins! I mean, most of the compliments were from women OBVI...but still...they're def noticed!

Our flowers were all white so little things like cocktail napkins presented a great opportunity to tie in our accent color!

I also didn't do a straight monogram...we did 'H & K' with a really cute swirly and oversized &....we had fun with them so they were more eyecatching.
